Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce time change in propagating characteristics of ultrasonic waves by providing deoxime-rubber-seal adhesive agent between the vibrating surface of an ultrasonic transducer and the wall surface of a material to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A deoxime-rubber-seal adhesive agent 16 which is silicone-rubber based adhesive agent is applied on a vibrating surface 14 of an ultrasonic transducer 12. Thereafter, the transducer is compressed to the outer wall surface of a material to be measured 10. The transducer 12 is held by using a tightening band in order to keep the compressing state. When the compressing state is continued for about 6-12 hours, the adhesive agent 16 is hardened, and the transducer 12 is fixed to the material to be measured 10. Therefore, the tightening band can be removed. Thus, the transducer can be used for a long time under high temperature. The adhesive agent is infiltrated into the rough attaching surface, solidified and stabilized. Since external vibration is absorbed, the transducer is not separated. The stabilized propagation characteristics of the ultrasonic waves can be obtained.

[Prior Art 1] A foot sonic transducer for measurement used in ultrasonic flaw detection, liquid level meters, etc. is usually fixed to an object to be measured, such as a pipe or hose. When fixing such an ultrasonic transducer to the wall surface of an object to be measured, if a space is partially created between the vibration surface of the ultrasonic transducer and the wall surface of the object to be measured, the propagation characteristics of the ultrasonic waves will be significantly affected. receive. Conventionally, when fixing an ultrasonic transducer, water, oil such as grease, paste, rubber film, etc. are interposed between the vibrating surface and the wall surface of the object to be measured.
The ultrasonic transducer was fixed by pressing it against the wall of the object to be measured using an appropriate tightening band.

[Problem to be Solved by the Invention 1 This conventional fixing method has the following problems. When water is used, the water gradually decreases due to evaporation, so it cannot be used at high temperatures or for long periods of time. Furthermore, in the case of oil such as grease, when the temperature reaches high temperatures, the viscosity decreases and it flows out. Furthermore, in the case of rubber FFL film, although such evaporation and leakage do not occur, it is difficult to attach the vibrating surface of the ultrasonic transducer to the object to be measured if the wall surface is rough and rough. It was not possible to obtain the propagation characteristics of

Note that fixing using epoxy resin without using water or grease has been done, but if the object to be measured is soft, such as a vinyl hose, the shape of the mounting surface changes. There was a problem that the cured epoxy 0I fat would peel off.

Therefore, the present invention can withstand long-term use under high temperatures, solidifies and stabilizes by penetrating the rough surface of the mounting surface, absorbs external vibrations, and does not peel off, and provides stable ultrasonic propagation characteristics. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for fixing an ultrasonic transducer that does not require any special attachment and is also suitable for soft objects to be measured.

FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view showing how the ultrasonic transducer 12 is attached to the outer wall surface of the object 10 to be measured. Reference numeral 14 denotes a vibration surface of the ultrasonic transducer 12, and a silicone rubber adhesive is applied onto the vibration surface 14.

[Effect of the invention 1] As is clear from the above detailed explanation, according to the method of fixing an ultrasonic transducer of the present invention, the oxime-free rubber seal adhesive is attached to the vibration surface of the ultrasonic transducer and the object to be measured. Since the ultrasonic transducer is fixed between the walls, not only is there little change in ultrasonic propagation characteristics over time, but the oxime-free rubber seal adhesive remains elastic even when it hardens, making it easy to use. Even if external vibrations are applied, there will be no positional deviation or change in signal level. Furthermore, even when the m-sound transducer is fixed to a hard vinyl hose or the like, it can sufficiently cope with slight twisting of the mounting surface. Furthermore, when fine powder dust is unavoidably attached, if it is thoroughly mixed with the adhesive and then adhered and solidified, it will be integrated and there will be no trouble.
