FIG. 1 is a side view of a conventional developing device. A developer tray 1 containing a developer 2, a developer supply roll 3 whose lower part is immersed in the developer 2, and a developer application roll 4 provided in contact with the developer supply roll 3.
and a pressure roll 5 provided in contact with the developer application roll 4, each of the rolls 3, 4, and 5 being rotatably supported on their respective shafts at a width greater than the maximum width of the copying machine. This is a device in which a photosensitive paper 6 that has been exposed and baked passes between a developer application roll 4 and a pressure roll 5 to develop it. The developer 2 in the developer tray 1 adhering to the developer supply roll 3 is applied to the developer application roll 4 that rotates with the developer supply roll 3, and is pressed between the developer application roll 4 and the pressure roll 5. The developer reacts with the diazo compound on the photosensitive paper 6, which has a photosensitive agent layered on the side of the developer application roll 4, which is fed by the developer, and forms an azo dye on the photosensitive paper 6 to form an image. A part of this azo dye adheres to the developer application roll 4 which is in contact with the photosensitive paper 6. The azo dye attached to the developer application roll 4 is again deposited on the photosensitive paper 6 when the developer application roll 4 comes into contact with the photosensitive material 6.
The azo dye deposited again on the photosensitive paper appears as an unnecessary image on the photosensitive paper 6 after development. This results in a reduction in the image quality of the copy.

FIG. 2 is a side view. A developer tray 1 containing a developer 2, a developer supply roll 3 whose lower part is immersed in the developer 2, a developer application roll 4 provided in contact with the developer supply roll 3, and a developer application roll 4. A transfer roll 7 is provided with a pressure roll 5 provided in contact with the developer application roll 4 . Each of the rolls has a length equal to or greater than the maximum width of the copy paper, and is rotatably supported on a shaft. Transfer roll 7
The position is on the exit side of the photosensitive paper 6 which is fed while being pinched between the developer application roll 4 and the pressure roll 5 which rotate in the direction of the arrow in the figure.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of FIG. 2, showing a driving device for each roll. The developer supply roll 3 is immersed in the developer 2, has a gear 8 fixed to its end, and is rotated by a mechanical drive. A gear 9 is provided at the end of the developer application roll 4, and gears 8 and 9 are meshed with each other.
A gear 10 is provided at the end of the transfer roll 7 and interlocks with a gear 9. This gear 10 is a gear having a number of teeth such that the peripheral speed of the developer coating roll 4 and the peripheral speed of the transfer roll 7 are different.

The azo dye adhering to the developer application roll 4 adheres to the transfer roll 7 when the developer application roll 4 and the transfer roll 7 come into contact with each other. The azo dye on the developer application roll 4 that has not adhered to the transfer roll 7 causes a sliding element at the contact surface between the developer application roll 4 and the transfer roll 7 because the circumferential speeds of the developer application roll 4 and the transfer roll 7 are different. That is, since the developer coating roll 4 and the transfer roll 7 roll and slide, the azo dye on the surfaces of these rollers is developed. Developer application roll 4
The above azo dye adheres to the exposed and baked photosensitive paper 6 again when the developer coating roll 4 comes into contact with the exposed and baked photosensitive paper 6. However, the azo dye image on the surface of the developer coating roll 4 is developed by the transfer roller 7, and there is almost no adhesion to the photosensitive paper 6 after exposure and printing. Even if it were to adhere, the unnecessary image on the developed photosensitive paper 6 would not be clear, its shape would be distorted, and it would still be thin.

FIG. 4 is an example of a side sectional view of a copying machine equipped with the developing device of the present invention. The main drive roll 11 is supplied with mechanically driven power, and the glass exposure/printing drum 1 is parallel to the main drive roll 11 via a printing belt 12.
3. The shaft roll 14 is rotated. Reference numeral 15 denotes a rod-shaped light source that extends in the axial direction inside the printing drum 13. The printing belt 12, which moves in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, enters between the exposure and printing drum 13 when the original paper is placed on top of the table 16 and the photosensitive paper is placed on the bottom so that the photosensitive surface is in contact with the original paper. It is exposed by a light source 15. A peeling plate 17 peels off the exposed and printed original paper and the photosensitive paper which have been closely polymerized after exposure and printing from the exposure and printing drum 13, and guides them between boxes 18 and 19 having a number of air intake ports on opposing surfaces. The box bodies 18 and 19 suck air by sucking the air inside the box using a blower (not shown). The closely polymerized original paper and photosensitive paper introduced between the boxes 18 and 19 having a large number of suction ports are sucked into the boxes 18 and 19 and separated. The separated original paper is discharged to the outside of the machine, and the photosensitive paper 6 is guided between a developer application roll 4 and a pressure roll 5 by a photosensitive paper guide 20. When the developer coating roll 4 comes into contact with the photosensitive paper 6 after exposure and printing,
Since the amount of azo dye adhering to the photosensitive paper 6 is reduced and developed, the amount of azo dye adhering again to the photosensitive paper 6 after exposure and printing is reduced, and a good image appears.

As described above, this invention consists of a developer tray containing a developer, a developer supply roll whose lower part is immersed in the developer, a developer application roll provided in contact with the developer supply roll, and a developer application roll provided in contact with the developer supply roll. A drive device comprising a pressure roll provided in contact with the developer application roll, a transfer roll in contact with the developer application roll, and driving the developer application roll and the transfer roll to rotate in opposite directions and at different circumferential speeds. The transfer roll is disposed on a side where the surface of the developer application roll moves from a contact position between the developer application roll and the pressure roll to a contact position between the developer application roll and the developer supply roll. Since the developing device of the diazo copying machine is characterized by the following characteristics, the azo dye is wiped off from the developer coating roll to the transfer roll, reducing the retransfer of unnecessary images due to the azo dye to the photosensitive paper, resulting in a good image. be able to. In addition, the unnecessary image has a distorted shape, and if it is retransferred, it will hardly make the original image difficult to see.
