Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a photosensitive body from being made into a mat to extend the life of the photosensitive body by providing a means which not only runs a web of a cleaning unit in the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the photosensitive body but also moves it back and forth in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with the start of rotation of a photosensitive body 1, a web driving motor 11 rotates and drives a pressure roll 4 and a winding roll 7 through a chain 12. Then, a web 6 for polishing and cleaning is carried in the direction opposite to the rotaion direction of the photosensitive body 1 and is wound up by the winding roll 7. Simultaneously, a driving motor 13 is rotated to drive a crank 8. Therefore, a hole 9a in one end of a rod 9 si moved back and forth, and a web cleaning unit 10 is moved back and forth in the axial direction of the photosensitive body 1 to polish and clean the photosensitive body 1 in the axial direction. Thus, the surface of the photosensitive body is prevented from being made into a mat, and the life of the photosensitive body is extended.

Conventionally, a plate cleaning method has been widely used as this type of device. In addition, in order to further extend the durable life of the blade and photosensitive cylinder, a lubricant such as Teflon powder is applied to the surface of the photosensitive cylinder.
A method is also known in which the web is pressed against a photosensitive cylinder in order to remove excess Teflon powder that has adhered to the web.

従来例をM1図により説明する。A conventional example will be explained using diagram M1.

To explain from the -L flow in the rotational direction of the photosensitive cylinder l, the toner T scraped off by the cleaning blade 14 fixedly installed in pressure contact with the photosensitive cylinder l flows into a duct 15 provided surrounding the cleaning blade 14. It is sucked in by the airflow flowing through it and carried out.

In particular, when used in a printer that outputs a large amount of copy paper P for continuous forms, the surface layer 1a of the photosensitive cylinder l, which is often in contact with the copy paper P through the toner T, and the printing Copy paper P
Since the surface layer 1b is likely to be in direct contact with the copy paper P, the number of times the surface layer ib of the photoreceptor l, which is in direct contact with the copy paper P, is rubbed by the copy paper P or the cleaning web increases as the number of sheets passed increases. The surface layer 1b has thin scratches and loses its luster, that is, becomes matte. Even if this matte surface layer 1b is cleaned, the toner T remains in the small scratches 1c as shown in Fig. 3, and during the next copying, the remaining toner T is transferred to the copy paper P, forming unnecessary black streaks. The problem was that dirt appeared on the image.

Web Cleaning Units) 10 is a rectangular box 10a
is based on. The box 10a has a bottom portion slidably guided by a kite rail 5 which is fixed parallel to the axis of the photosensitive cylinder 1 so as to face the peripheral surface of the photosensitive cylinder 1, and has an opening tab at the bottom portion. A supply shaft 2 and a winding roller 7 are rotatably fixed to the side surface of the box 10a by bearings (not shown), and a kite roller 3 is rotatably fixed to the side surface of the box 10a.
is rotatably fixed, and a pressure roller 4 is rotatably fixed to a side door of the box 10a. The web 6 is the supply shaft 2
The film is wound up into the winding roller I-2, is stretched on the inner surface of the guide roller 3, is brought into pressure contact with the surface of the photosensitive cylinder l on the outer surface of the pressure roller 4, and is rolled up and raised by the winding roller 7. 6th
As shown in the figure, the pressure roller 4 and the winding roller 7 are provided with sprockets 4a and 7'a provided at their respective shaft ends. A sprocket 11a fixed to the shaft of a motor 11 fixed to a box 10a and a tension spring 21 fixed at one end.
A check 712 is stretched between the sprocket 20 and the sprockets 4a and 7a, whose other ends are locked to the support shaft and urged outward. The box 10a has a protrusion lθb with a straight butt 10c, IkIIlOC is pivoted in a hole 9a (FIG. 7) in one end of the rod 9, and the other end of the rod 9 is in a pin 8a of the upright crank 8. The crank 8, which is pivotally mounted and stands upright, is fixed to a motor I3 fixed to a machine frame (not shown) and an output shaft of a gear train 19 connected thereto.

As soon as the photosensitive cylinder 1 starts rotating, the web drive motor 11 rotates and the drive transmission check 712 starts moving. The driving chain 7 transmits its force to the pressure roller 4, the winding opening, and the -rough, and the web 6 for polishing and cleaning is transferred to the photosensitive cylinder 1.
is conveyed in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the winding roller 7.
It is being rolled up. At the same time, the drive motor 13 (FIG. 71) rotates in order to reciprocate the web cleaning unit IO along the kite trays 1 to 5, and drives the crank 8 via the gear train 19. crank 8
When rotates, the hole 9a at one end of the crank 9 moves back and forth, thereby moving the web cleaning unit l-10 in the axial direction of the photosensitive cylinder, thereby polishing and cleaning the photosensitive crank 1 in the axial direction.

As explained above, it has a simple structure in which the web cleaning unit that cleans and polishes is added with the function of reciprocating in the axial direction of the photosensitive cylinder, and the photosensitive cylinder is exposed to light by slight differences in the number of times the copy paper contacts the photosensitive printer. By uniformly polishing and cleaning the surface layer of the crank to eliminate matting, it prevents black streaks from appearing on images on copy paper, and also prevents matting, which extends the life of the photosensitive crank. I was able to extend it.
