Abstract

PURPOSE:To always purify an origin jig and to attain a satisfactory machining positioning accuracy by providing a storing apparatus for ejecting an unused machining liquid to a reference jig for a machining origin during electric discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:An unused machining liquid 17 in a machining liquid tank 16 is pumped up by a pump 8 is ejected from a nozzle 5. This ejection is adjusted to surround an origin electrode 1 with the machining liquid 7. By this operation, an insulating protective film is formed in the outer periphery of the origin jig 1 by the machining liquid 17. When a designated pressure is detected by a pressure sensor 6, a machining electrode 3 is operated to conduct electric discharge machining to a workpiece 2. The machining liquid 17 which has overflowed from an inner tank 10a of a storing apparatus 10 into an outer tank 10b is returned to a machining liquid tank 16 through a discharge and feed-pipe 11 by an aspirator 15. At the time of positioning, the pump 8 is stopped to put the origin jig 1 in an ordinary state and positioning is performed by contact sensing with the electrode 3.
