る。ここで固体メモリを用いた例で説明すると、
電子スチルカメラに複数個のメモリセル(静止画
像一画面分の記憶媒体の領域)を有する固体メモ
リを内蔵し、撮影毎に適宜メモリセルを1つ選択
しこれに静止画像1画面分(1フレーム分)の画
像を記録すると、複数フレームの静止画像を記憶
することができる。ところが、撮影者が画像をど
のメモリセルに記憶させるか、任意に選定できる
様にした場合、選定したメモリセルが既に使用済
セル即ち画像を既に記憶しているセルであると、
その記憶画像が消去されてしまう恐れがある。ま
た、固体メモリをカメラ本体に着脱自在な記憶部
に内蔵し、撮影の途中で任意に記憶部を交換でき
るようにすると、新たにカメラ本体に装着した記
憶部には未使用のメモリセルが何個残存している
か分らないと、貴重な撮影チヤンスを失すること
がある。このことは勿論記録媒体として固体メモ
リを用いた場合に特定されるものでなく、その他
の記録媒体でも複数の静止画像を任意の記憶領域
即ち任意のメモリセルに記憶することのできる電
子スチルカメラにあつては同様の問題がある。

たアクセサリーシユー14とレリーズ釦15とが
設けられている。該レリーズ釦15を浅く押下す
ると給電回路に挿入された給電スイツチがONと
なり、給電がなされる。これに伴い測光動作が行
なわれる。レリーズ釦15を深く押下すると、給
電スイツチはONしたままで、さらに撮影シーケ
ンスが開始される。撮影シーケンスは一旦開始さ
れると、レリーズ釦15の押下を途中で解除して
も止まることはない。また給電スイツチのONも
撮影シーケンスが終了するまでは保持される。第
2図において撮像部1の後面には記憶部2のメモ
リセルの番地を自動アクセスするモード、手動ア
クセスするモード及び多重露出のモードのうちい
ずれかを選択するためのモード選択レバー16
と、手動アクセスのための押釦17と、今アクセ
スしているメモリセルの番地を表示するための液
晶等の7セグメント表示装置18と、音響告装置
を不動作にするスイツチ19とが設けられてい
る。さらに撮像部1の側面にはデータ写し込み装
置や被写体像をモニターする電子モニター装置等
の外部アクセサリーを取り付けるための取り付け
ネジ100と、該アクセサリー用のコネクタ13
0とがそれぞれ配設されている。記憶部2の後面
には第2図に示すように使用済のメモリセルの番
地を表示するための液晶あるいはエレクトロクロ
ミツク等の表示装置201と、記憶容量(メモリ
セルの全数、すなわち記憶可能なフレーム数)等
が印刷されたラベル202とが設けられている。
また側面には第3図bに示すように着脱スライダ
203がある。これを右方向にスライドさせると
記憶部2の上面に突出した着脱カギ204が同方
向にスライドし、撮像部1の対応する部分にある
不図示の固定カギとの係合が外れて記憶部2は撮
像部1より離脱可能となる。記憶部2にはT溝2
