Abstract

PURPOSE:To open/close a rear door easily, improve outward appearance and reduce operating physical force at the time of replacing a tire by providing a carrier main body with two brackets and a tire fitting part at its center part and a fixing member, added at the outer face of the rear door, for supporting the other side part of the carrier main body. CONSTITUTION:At the time of replacing a tire, first its connected state to an upper bracket is released, then a carrier main body 4 is removed from a fixing member 7 and rotated slightly in the separated direction from the outer surface of a rear door 3, and finally the carrier main body 4 is rotated toward the ground around the pivoting point of an lower bracket 6B. As a spare tire 5 is supported at the center part of the carrier main body, operating physical force is reduced on the principle of a lever. At the time of opening/closing a rear door 3, however, the carrier main body 4, in the state of being held at the outer face of the rear door, is rotated around rear door hinges 2A, 2B together with the rear door 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION <Field of Industrial Application> The present invention relates to a mounting structure for a carrier that removably supports a spare tire on the outer surface of a rear door of an automobile or the like.

<Prior Art> As a mounting structure for this kind of spare tire carrier, there is one disclosed in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 129379/1983.

This includes a first arm member pivotably mounted horizontally on the side of the rear door of the vehicle body, and a distal end portion of the first arm member that removably supports a spare tire to raise the outer surface of the rear door. a second arm member pivotably mounted in a diagonal direction so as to be able to move up and down between the position and the lowered position on the ground; and the first arm member of the second arm member when opening and closing the door.
It is configured to include a locking means that prevents the arm member from rotating, but allows the rotation when changing a tire.

Therefore, according to this spare tire carrier, when opening and closing the door, the first and second arm members are rotated in the horizontal direction and both arm members are retracted to the outside of the vehicle body, making it possible to open and close only the rear door independently. At the same time, when replacing a tire, the second arm member is rotated diagonally with respect to the first arm member, and the tip of the second arm member is moved to a lowered position on the ground, thereby making it easier to attach and detach the tire to and from the carrier. This can easily be done on the ground.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> However, with the above-mentioned conventional spare tire carrier mounting structure, the spare tire carrier must be retracted to the outside of the vehicle body each time the rear door is opened or closed, making the operation complicated. In addition to being troublesome, the carrier support part is large and is not hidden behind the spare tire, but is exposed to a large extent, resulting in an unsightly appearance. Furthermore, when moving the second arm member up and down relative to the first arm member (that is, when raising and lowering the tire), no assist force is obtained, which requires a large operating force, which is not in keeping with the trend toward larger tires. There was a problem.

Means for Solving the Problems> In order to achieve the above object, a spare tire carrier mounting structure for a vehicle according to the present invention is constructed such that two rear door hinges are rotatably assembled on the same axis of two spaced apart rear door hinges. Two brackets, disposed along the outer surface of the rear door, one side of which is detachably connected to one of the brackets and rotatably connected to the other bracket in the axial direction of the rear door hinge. The present invention is characterized by comprising a carrier body having a tire mounting portion in the center thereof, and a fixing member attached to the outer surface of the rear door to removably support the other side of the carrier body.

According to the above-described structure, when changing a tire, after releasing the connection with one bracket, the carrier body is removed from the fixing member and slightly rotated in a direction away from the outer surface of the rear door, and then the other bracket is removed. The carrier body may be rotated toward the ground around the pivot point of the bracket.

Because of this configuration, when opening and closing the rear door 3,
Since the left side of the carrier main body 4 is fixed to the outer surface of the rear door 3 by the fixing member 7, the carrier main body 4 is supported on the outer surface of the rear door 3 and is moved together with the rear door 3 through the upper and lower brackets 6A and 6B. The door hinge is rotated both upward and downward around the hinge parts 2A and 2B.

On the other hand, when changing a tire, first remove the tapered bolt 23 of the upper bracket 6A, remove the auxiliary hook 25 from the engagement groove 27, and then hook the stopper pin 46 of the fixing member 7 with your finger and pull the ring 45 upward. The carrier body 4 is pulled out from the fitting hole 50 on the horizontal frame 8 side, and the left side of the carrier body 4 is slightly separated from the outer surface of the rear door 3. Note that at this time, the handle 12 is held in an upwardly erect position in advance. Next, remove the above-mentioned auxiliary hook 25 if it has not already been removed, and then operate the handle 12 to rotate the carrier body 4 downward around the bolt 40 of the lower bracket 6B to lower the spare tire 5 to the ground. When the carrier main body 4 is raised and lowered as described above, the tire mounting plate portion 11 is located between the lower bracket 6B and the handle 12, so that the operating force is reduced due to so-called leverage. In addition, since the auxiliary link mechanism 28 is interposed between the upper part of the vertical frame 9 and the upper bracket 6A, wobbling in the left-right direction is prevented.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above, according to the present invention, one side part of the carrier body disposed on the outer surface of the rear door is assembled on the same axis as the rear door hinge, and a part of the hinge part can be used as a pivot point when necessary. Since the carrier body itself can be raised and lowered, it is possible to provide a spare tire carrier mounting structure for a vehicle that allows easy opening and closing of the rear door and looks good (and requires less operating force when changing tires).
