Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the recycle time in warehousing/delivery by carrying out the warehousing and delivery of two automobiles alternately by using one unit of stacker crane. CONSTITUTION:After a vehicle which is warehoused at the port of a warehousing/delivery house is raised by a warehousing/delivery lifter, said vehicle is transported through the deflection of position by the right and left conveyors. After the transport is completed, two automobiles 11 and 12 on a stacker crane 8 are delivered one by one to the right and left directions. After the completion, the vehicle which is warehoused in precedence is taken onto the stacker crane 8. Then, the automobile is transported to the warehousing/delivery lifter side, and then lowering and delivered. The automobile which is warehoused again is placed onto the lifter after delivery, and the lifter is raised, and the automobile is arranged, shifting the position. During this time, two automobiles are accommodated onto a shelf by the stacker crane, and two delivered automobiles are taken out form the shelf, and shifted to the conveyor position.

Conventional multi-story parking garages that use stacker cranes to transport cars on pallets require a pallet magazine operation cycle that supplies empty pallets when cars enter and stores empty pallets when they leave. This is because the operation of this pallet magazine was involved even when the number of incoming and outgoing vehicles was approximately the same.

In addition, when a predetermined number of empty pallets are stacked on the pallet magazine, or conversely, when all empty pallets are supplied to the conveyor and there are no empty pallets on the pallet magazine, the stacker crane stacks the empty pallets on the pallet magazine. Group supply and retrieval services are required. This is a problem because the stacker crane takes time to transport items other than automobiles, and the loading and unloading capacity is reduced.

By placing an incoming car on a pallet that has been completely unloaded, there is no need to supply empty pallets. Therefore, no operation of the pallet magazine takes place.

At this time, since the stacker crane handles two cars at the same time, the two cars are lowered from the stacker crane onto the conveyor side, and the two cars on the conveyor are then loaded onto the stacker crane. This operation is performed by shifting the position of the entering vehicle onto the left and right conveyors of the stacker crane. Incoming cars are placed on the left and right conveyors with their positions shifted, and two cars are placed on the remaining vacant conveyor from a stacker crane at the same time. After that, the vehicles to be loaded are loaded onto the stacker crane.

When operated in this way, the stacker crane will move towards the rack side.
During this movement, vehicles enter and exit the conveyor in parallel. In this way, since no pallet magazine operation is performed, there is no waiting time for loading and unloading. Additionally, the stacker crane and conveyor perform parallel work. Therefore, the vehicle entry/exit cycle is carried out within a short time.

(b), (c) When leaving the vehicle, the vehicle is conveyed onto the lid of the vehicle that has been lowered onto the conveyor in the opposite direction. At the same time, the empty pallet on the lifter is transported to the pallet magazine side. When the pallet magazine pulls in an empty pallet, the upper pallet in the magazine is stored. Figures 4 (a) and (b) If the number of vehicle entry and vehicle exit requests both increases, the following operation is performed. This will be explained using the plan view of FIG. Cars entering the vehicle exit are lifted up by the vehicle entry/exit lifter, and then conveyed onto the conveyor by shifting their positions on the left and right conveyors as shown in FIG. 5 (a). When the conveyance is completed, the two cars 11 and 12 on the stacker crane 8 are taken out, one on the left and one on the left (b). When this is completed, the incoming car that was transported earlier is taken into the stacker crane (c). After that, the car is transported to the entrance/exit lifter side, lowered, and exited (2). FIG. 5 (a) shows that a vehicle is exited or re-entered on the lid, and the lifter is raised to position the vehicle as explained above.

During this time, the stacker crane stores two cars on the shelf, takes out two cars from the shelf, and then moves to the conveyor position. Thereafter, the same operation is repeated to enter and exit the vehicle.

In this embodiment, since the pallet magazine does not operate when a person leaves the vehicle, there is no waiting time for the conveyor, and the cycle time is improved. Additionally, since the loading/unloading conveyor and the stacker crane operate in parallel, cycle time is similarly reduced.

According to the present invention, it is possible to eliminate the need to supply empty pallets by loading a car with a two-person warehouse on the pallet 6 that has been unloaded, so there is an effect that the cycle time can be improved without operating the pallet magazine.
