(Prior Art) The inner surfaces of automobile roof front rails, roof side rails, front pillars, etc. are coated with a plurality of skin materials with their joint ends overlapped. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the joints between the skin materials in the interior trim are formed by heating and pressing the end of the first skin material 22 to crush the fabric layer 26 on the back side of the skin material, thereby forming a thin part 28. Since the ends of the second skin material 23 were joined to the top surface of the thin part 28, one skin material 22 and the other skin material 2 joined to the top surface of the thin part 28
Due to the influence of the dimensional error of Nos. 2 and 23, the thin portion 28
There were problems in that the portions not covered by the second skin material 23 appeared irregularly, and the crushed lines formed at the base of the thin portion 28 appeared as clear lines, impairing the appearance.

To solve this problem, there is a method such as Japanese Patent Publication No. 56-32133 in which the joining side ends of multiple skin materials are joined to the base material without overlapping and the space between them is filled with decorative molding. However, using a decorative molding increases the number of parts and requires many manufacturing steps, resulting in high costs.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In an automobile interior trim of the present invention which attempts to solve the above-mentioned problems, the surface of the base material is connected to the first skin material and the joint end thereof. In an automobile interior trim coated with a second skin material in which parts are overlapped, a single-layer skin part in which the fabric layer on the back side of the skin material is missing is provided at the end of each joining side of both skin materials. forming a single-layer skin part of the first skin material, and bonding the single-layer skin part of the first skin material to the surface of the base material with the adhesive part at the front thereof, and forming a cavity between the non-bonded part following the adhesive part and the base material. On the other hand, the bonding side end of the second skin material wraps the single-layer skin part onto the back surface of the bedclothes layer and applies it to the surface of the part extending from the tip of the non-adhesive part to the adhesive part. This is characterized in that the adhesive portions are tensioned and joined, and both skin materials are directly joined and integrated at their joining end portions.

In FIG. 1, 1 is a base material such as a sheet metal surface in an automobile interior, and the surface of the base material 1 is a first skin material 2 and a second skin material whose joint end is abutted against the joint end of the first skin material 2. Each of these skin materials 2 and 3 consists of a skin 4 and 5 and bedspread layers 6 and 7 made of foam or the like that are integrally attached to the back surface thereof. A single-layer skin part 8 is formed at the end of the first skin material 2 on the joining side, with the bedclothes layer 6 removed over a predetermined width. The non-adhesive portion 8b that is left behind the adhesive portion 8a is bonded to the substrate 1 with an adhesive 11 such as double-sided adhesive tape under tension, and the non-adhesive portion 8b and the base material that continue to the adhesive portion 8a are bonded to the substrate 1. 1, a hollow portion 10 having a substantially triangular cross section is formed. On the other hand, the second skin material 3 has a single-layer skin part 9 formed by omitting the bedclothes layer 7 over a predetermined width at the end on the joining side. The end of the joining side is joined to the surface of the part extending from the tip of the non-adhesive part 8b to the adhesive part 8a by further tensioning the non-adhesive part 8b, thereby forming both skin materials 2, 3 are directly joined and integrated with their ends on each joining side. The edges of these skin materials 2 and 3 are covered and held on the base material 1 with fixed edge materials (not shown) or the like. In addition, in FIG. 2, reference numerals 13 and 14 are core plates attached to the back surfaces of the bedclothes layers 6 and 7 as necessary.

(Function) With this structure, the skin materials 2 and 3 coated on the surface of the base material 1 have both ends on the joining side formed by a single piece of the fabric layers 6 and 7 on the back side. The first skin part 2 is bonded to the base material 1 with the adhesive part 8a at the front of the single-layer skin part 8 under tension, and the second skin part 2 is bonded to the base material 1 under tension. The skin material 3 has its single-layer skin part 9 wrapped around the back surface of the bedclothes layer 7, and the end on the joining side is connected to the first skin material 2.
The non-adhesive part 8b is joined to the surface of the part extending from the tip of the non-adhesive part 8b to the adhesive part 8a so that a cavity 10 is formed between the non-adhesive part 8b and the base material 1.
Therefore, the edge of the bedclothes layer 6 becomes a gently curved surface 12 that is pressed downward by the tensed non-adhesive part 8b, and the boundary line with the single layer skin part 8 is not visible in appearance. In addition, unlike the conventional thin part obtained by crushing the bedclothes layer by applying pressure, the single-layer skin part 8 is extremely thin, so that the end of the skin material 2 on the joining side and the skin material 3 are There is almost no difference in level between the end on the joining side,
Furthermore, by forming the cavity 10, even if there is some dimensional error in the skin materials 2 and 3, this error can be absorbed by the non-adhesive part 8b forming the cavity 10, so there is no unsightly appearance. It looks very nice.

(Effects of the invention) As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention eliminates the appearance of steps or crushed lines at the joints of multiple skin materials coated on the base material, and also allows for some dimensional errors in the skin materials. In addition, there is no unsightly appearance even if the edges of multiple skin materials are joined to the base material without overlapping them, and the material cost and manufacturing process are lower than when the joint ends of multiple skin materials are joined to the base material without overlapping and the gaps between them are filled with decorative molding. It is possible to reduce costs by reducing the number of parts, and it has great practical value as it solves the problems found in conventional automobile interior trims such as roof front rails, roof side rails, and front pillars. be.
