Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a large frangment from a comb at collision of a foreign substance with the teeth of the comb so as to protect passengers from getting hurt, by forming cutout parts on the extreme end side of the comb apart from screws for threadedly fixing its base part, and making its sectional area small in the widthwise direction of a passenger conveyor, to form parts easy to be broken. CONSTITUTION:When a hard foreign substance pinched between cleats 2a of a footstep 2 collides with the teeth of a comb 3a due to movement of the footstep 2, extreme end parts of the teeth of the comb 3a only are broken at parts providing with cutouts and number of the broken teeth of the comb is one or extremely few. As the result, the broken fragment 6 is small and even at collision of the scattered fragments with passengers they get no hurt due to small impulsive force at this time. Besides, as only a few extreme end parts are broken at breakage of the teeth of comb 3a, even if the passenger conveyor is driven for a while in the condition of breakage of the teeth of comb 3a, the secondary trouble can be prevented, which the foot of the passenger is bited between a floor plate 1 and the footstep 2.

Regarding Figures 10 to 14, for example,
A conventional passenger conveyor comb shown in Japanese Patent No. 776 will be explained. In Figures 10 to 14, 1 is a floor plate at the entrance/exit provided at both ends of the passenger conveyor, 2 is a step on the passenger conveyor, 3 is a comb fixed to the edge of the floor plate 1, and 4 is a comb. These are the screws that fix the base of 3 to the floorboard 1. A large number of comb teeth 3a are formed at the tip of the tachibana 3, and creases 1 and 2a formed on the surface of the step 2 are slidably engaged with the comb teeth 3a. The comb 3 has comb teeth 3a to prevent foreign matter that has entered between the surface and IJ-1-2a of the steps 2 from entering the truss below the floorboard 1 as the steps 2 move. It is scooped up and prevented. However, as shown in FIG.
If a foreign object 5 is caught in between, the foreign object 5 may collide with the tooth 3a and the 1943 may break from the tightened portion by the screw 4.

The comb of the conventional passenger conveyor is constructed as described above, and when the foreign object 5 collides with the comb teeth 3a and breaks the Wi3, the force of the breakage causes the fragments 6 of the FR3 to break off as shown by chain lines in FIG. If the strength of the comb tII3a was too strong, the fragments 6 would break from the chain line I in FIG. 12, and the large fragments 6 would hit passengers, posing the risk of causing serious injuries. Also, after Ji[il 3 is damaged, the comb teeth 3a are 10~
As many as 20 of them are missing, so if the passenger conveyor is operated in this condition, there is a high risk of a secondary accident in which the passenger's feet are caught between the floorboard 1 and the steps 2. there were. This invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, and when a foreign object collides with the comb teeth, it can prevent the broken part from hitting a passenger, and also prevent the secondary disaster mentioned above. The aim is to obtain a passenger conveyor comb that can also be prevented.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. In Figures 1 to 4, the same symbols as in Figures 10 to 14 indicate corresponding parts, and 3c is a hard synthetic 1!11
These are notches formed over the entire height direction on both sides of the tip of the comb teeth 3a of @3 made of an integrally molded product such as ILV. The cross-sectional area in the width direction is made smaller, making it easier to break than other parts. The base 3a of the comb 3 is fastened to the floorboard 1 by a screw 4 pushed through a screw insertion hole 3d provided on the proximal side of the notch 3c. The configuration of this embodiment other than the above is the same as the conventional one shown in FIGS. 10 to 14. The comb of the passenger conveyor according to this embodiment is 2 steps +)
- When the hard foreign object 5 sandwiched between 1 and 2a collides with the comb teeth 3a due to the movement of the step 2, only the tip of the comb teeth 3a is provided with a notch 3C, as shown in Fig. 4. The number of combs @ 3 a that break and break is one or a very small number. Therefore, the broken fragments 6 become smaller, and even if the flying fragments 6 hit a passenger, the impact force at this time is small and the passenger will not be seriously injured. In addition, if the comb teeth 3a break, only a few tips will break, so if the passenger conveyor is operated for a while with the comb teeth 3a broken, the comb teeth 3a
Since the comb 3 and the step 2 are engaged at the base of the comb 3, it is possible to prevent a secondary accident in which the passenger's foot is caught between the floorboard 1 and the step 2. FIG. 5 shows a modification of the above embodiment, except that a notch 3e opening on the lower surface is provided at the lower part of the tip of the comb tooth 3a.
It has the same structure as the comb shown in FIGS. 4 through 4, and the same effect as this comb can be obtained with the comb shown in FIG. 6 and 7 show other embodiments of the invention. In FIGS. 6 and 7, the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 to 4 indicate corresponding parts, and 3f and 3g are the roots of the comb teeth 3a of S3, that is, the connections between the comb teeth 3a and the base 3b having a constant thickness. These notches 3F and 3g are formed at the upper and lower parts of the boundary, respectively, and these notches 3F and 3g are rounded toward the distal end of m3 or toward the distal and proximal ends of m3, and are rounded toward the upper and lower surfaces of li3. It is formed along the width direction of the passenger conveyor into a substantially V-shaped saw cross-sectional shape with an opening, and the portion where the notches 3f and 3g are formed has a smaller cross-sectional area and is more easily broken than other portions. In addition,
The configuration of this embodiment other than the above is shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.
It is similar to the embodiment shown in the figure. The comb 3 according to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 has a step 2 glue! J-? - When the hard foreign object 5 sandwiched between the steps 2 collides with the comb teeth 3a as the step 2 moves, the comb teeth 3a break from the base as shown in FIG. Since the broken surface of the fragment 6 has a rounded shape with no corners due to the shape of the notches 3r and 3g, even if the fragment 6 hits a passenger, it is only minor. 8 and 9 show modifications of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. FIG. Fig. 8 shows notches 3f and 3g arranged at the tip of the comb teeth 3a, and Fig. 9 shows notches 3f and 3g.
The only difference from those shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 is that the screw is disposed closer to the base than in FIG. 6, but closer to the tip than the m3 screw 4. The comb shown in FIG. 8 and the comb shown in FIG. 9 have substantially the same effects as those shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. Note that the shape of the notch of the comb shown in FIGS. 6, 8, and 9 can be changed as appropriate so long as the folded surface of the fragment has a rounded shape.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a notch is formed on the tip side of the screw that fastens the base of the comb, and the cross-sectional area in the width direction of the passenger conveyor is small (the part that is easy to break is actively provided). If a foreign object collides with the ISM, the comb teeth will break from the part with a small cross-sectional area and will not break into large pieces, which will prevent passengers from being injured by the pieces, and will also prevent the passenger conveyor from operating with the comb teeth broken. However, even if the passenger's foot is caught between the floorboard and the step, it can prevent the passenger from getting injured due to a secondary accident.
