Abstract

PURPOSE: To solve toilet problems, especially concerning a toilet training for a child who is doing a toilet training so that the child can continue the training when traveling by using a disposable toilet liner with a liquid absorbent material which can be attached to a toilet and easily sealed off after having been used. CONSTITUTION: This liner 1 with a liquid absorbent material 8 can be adhered to a toilet 2, especially a child toilet, and can be sealed off after having been used. The liner 1 has a part 5 which can be adhered to itself so that the liner 1 can be self-sealed after having been used. In order to seal off the used liner 1, a heat molten adhesive is applied only on the half of the rim part 5, and the adhesive is covered by a peeling strip 6 before the liner is sealed. The liner 1 is made of a thin plastic material which is water impermeable. As a result, contents of the toilet can be easily disposed, and problems concerning a toilet when a small child doing a toilet training is taken with the parents to a trip can be solved because the child can continue the toilet training during the trip.

The toilet device according to the invention consists of a disposable liner that is adhered to a toilet bowl, such as a pediatric botti, or to the bottom of the toilet bowl, the liner having a liquid-absorbing material and being easily sealed after use. It is desirable for the liner to be self-sealing, and for this purpose it may be provided with mutually adhesive peripheries which are laid down in each half of the periphery. Preferably, the liquid absorbent material is formed by an absorbent pad that is shaped to fit into the bottom of the toilet bowl when the liner is attached and is adhered to the inside of the liner. Sealing of used liners involves attaching double-sided adhesive tape to the liner, protecting the outer adhesive layer with a release strip, and removing the release strip to expose the adhesive layer and sealing prior to disposal of the used liner. This may be done by The tape may be applied to the periphery of the liner, or a heat-melt contact adhesive may be applied to the periphery and protected by a release strip. Such adhesive may be provided only on one half of the peripheral edge. The liner is preferably made of a thin moisture-impermeable plastic material, more preferably a material such as translucent white polyethylene. It is desirable to make it biodegradable. It is desirable that the fit with the toilet bowl to which it is to be adhered is substantially tight, and the liner may be manufactured by any method used in plastic bag manufacturing, but preferably in the desired shape.・Make the dimensions by vacuum forming. Vacuum forming not only provides good compatibility with the intended toilet bowl, but is also convenient for forming a thickened periphery as part of the application of contact adhesive for sealing after use.

In the embodiment of FIG. 1, a disposable liner 1 according to the invention is adhered to a conventional pediatric toilet bowl 2 of molded double wall construction. The liner 1 of the present invention can be used not only for the illustrated example of a child's toilet and bowl 2, but also for any other child's toilet, potty, indoor toilet, chair with toilet bowl, etc. by appropriately selecting the shape and dimensions of the liner. The toilet bowl or receiver can be used by being glued to the container. A liner 1, preferably formed by vacuum forming of a moisture-impermeable plastic material, is provided with a toilet seat or base 3 formed in the inner wall 4 of the child toilet bowl 2.
It fits with a suitable fit. The liner 1 has a peripheral edge 5 that sits on the upper edge of the child's toilet bowl 2, and in use the child sits on the peripheral edge 5 to hold the liner 1 in position. Adhesive is applied to the two semicircular halves of the peripheral edge 5 so that when the two half halves of the upper end of the liner 1 are abutted against each other, they have adhesive properties to each other. The adhesive on one half of the peripheral edge 5 is covered with a siliconized release strip 6 with ears 6a, which can be easily removed by pinching the ears 6a with your fingers. and the adhesive underneath can be exposed. The adhesive on the opposite half of the periphery 5 is covered with a glued cardboard strip 7, which gives the periphery 5 its rigidity. A pad 8 made of liquid-absorbing material is suitably placed within the liner 1 and fixed to its bottom by means of adhesive. The absorbent pad 8 may be of any suitable material or composition, but is preferably a flexible pad of cellulose or a flexible pad of recycled paper. As shown in FIG. 1, the pediatric toilet bowl 2 is used with the liner 1 attached. When used, liner 1
is removed from the child toilet bowl 2 along with its contents, and if necessary, a new liner 1 is applied at this stage to prepare the child toilet bowl 2 for next use. After removal of the liner 1, the release strip 6 and cardboard strip 7 are peeled off, the liner 1 is sealed by pressing the adhesive interlock on the liner periphery 5, and then disposed of in a suitable manner. The sealed liner 1 as shown in FIG.
It is now a plastic bag containing the wet pad 8 and/or other contents, with an opposite end tab 9 on the periphery 5 serving as a carrying handle for the sealed bag. An advantage of vacuum forming the liner 1 is that the peripheral edge 5 is made of thick material to increase the rigidity of the peripheral edge 5, making it easier to handle the sealed liner 1 not only when the liner 1 is delivered but also before disposal. . If the peripheral edge 5 has sufficient rigidity due to vacuum forming of the liner 1, etc., the cardboard strip 7 and the adhesive covering it are omitted, and adhesive is applied only to one half of the peripheral edge 5 for sealing. It may be sufficient to peel off the release strip 6 immediately beforehand to expose it. The adhesive is preferably a heat melt adhesive and the plastic material of the liner 1 is preferably biodegradable for environmental reasons. As an alternative to vacuum forming, the liner 1 may for example be formed from a plastics material by welding.
