Abstract

A universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag (1) is provided to contain, stabilise and seal-in the superfluous body waste in a hygienic manner prior to disposal. When used in conjunction with a body waste vessel (2), (chamberpot or potty) the universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag (1) eliminates the need to wash and/or sterilise the vessel after use and affords the user the convenience of the vessel (2) (chamberpot-or potty) whenever and wherever required. The absorbant infill of the universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag stabilises any fluid entering the vessel liner/bag and so may be sealed and safely stored prior to convenient disposal. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Universal disposable body waste vessel liner/ bag This invention relates to a universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag.
Body waste vessels are widely used by infants and the infirm and comprise a vessel to collect body waste products, which are, in the majority of cases portable, this portability provides the means to empty the contents from the vessel after use.
Body waste vessels are, however, relatively unhygenic when emptying becomes necessary, the vessel is in an unsterile state and must be thoroughly cleaned, moreover many people who would perform this cleaning task find it most distasteful and in itself unhygenic.
According to the present invention there is provided a universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag or the like, comprising a non porous material in the form of a disposable liner/bag or the like, means to suitably adapt this disposable liner/bag or the like to a body waste vessel, means to absorb liquid body waste and means to suitably seal the liner/bag or the like prior to the subsequent disposal of same.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective, the disposable liner/bag or the like in position in and/or around the body waste vessel.
Figure 2 shows a cross section of the disposable liner/bag or the like illustrating the liquid body waste absorbing infill.
Figure 3 shows the disposable liner/bag or the like in a sealed state.
Referring to the drawing the universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag or the like comprises a non porous material in the form of a liner/bag (1) that can be adapted and reasonably secured to a body waste vessel by, for example a string tie, elastication, adhesive or other means (2).
The universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag or the like is provided with means to absorb liquid body waste in the form of an absorbant infill (3) also to reasonably seal on removal from the body waste vessel by, for example a string tie, elastication, adhesive or other means (4).
In order to provide a universal body waste vessel liner/bag or the like the non porous material in the form of a disposable liner/bag is secured in and/or around the body waste vessel as shown in Fig. 1. After use the universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag or the like may be hygenically removed, complete with contents, from the body waste vessel, sealed as shown in Fig. 3, and subsequently disposed of.
1. A Universal disposable body waste vessel/liner bag comprising a main vessel liner/bag of non porous material.
2. A Universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag as claimed in Claim 1 wherein means are provided to reasonably secure it to a body waste vessel.
3. A Universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein means are provided to reasonably absorb and stablise any liquid body waste present.
4. A Universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2 or Claim 3 wherein means are provided to reasonably seal the liner/bag with contents.
5. A Universal disposable body waste vessel liner/bag substantially as described herein with reference to Figs. 1-3 of the accompanying drawing.
