Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electric stimulating device taking into consideration of living body activities such as the circulation of blood by providing such a constitution as detecting a phase showing the contracting period and/or expanding period in wave-forms such as electrocardiogram and pulse waves of the signals obtained from a living body and giving an electric stimulation in a desired time phase. CONSTITUTION:A judgment means 2 takes out an electrocardiogram or blood signal from living body signals inputted from an input part 4 and judges and detects a time phase based on the amplitude, time and phase of the signal to output the corresponding signal, and a switching means 3 turns on and off the connection between an output means 1 and a conducting element 5 by the output signal of the judgment means 2. To conduct the stimulation by detection of the electrocardiogram, when an electrocardiogram signal is inputted from the input part 4 to the judgment means 2, the time phases of the contracting period and expanding period are detected from the electrocardiogram signal. In the expanding period, pulses are outputted from the judgment means 2 toward the switching means 3 to close the switching means 3, and a stimulation output outputted from a low frequency stimulation output means 1 is applied to the living body through the conducting element 5. Consequently, the circulation of blood is accelerated, and the stiffness of the shoulders and various troubles accompanied by the reduction in living body activities can be conquered.

Electrical stimulation devices such as low-frequency therapy devices that apply electrical stimulation to the living body to alleviate stiff shoulders and treat pine surges, etc., promote treatment by causing reversible changes to the muscular nervous system. All of these are merely stimulating effects on one component of the living body, and the current situation is that electrical stimulation is performed without taking into account living activities such as blood circulation.

Electrical stimulation is said to have the effect of stimulating and contracting the muscles around blood vessels or that make up blood vessels. This effect is beneficial in the sense of promoting blood circulation when it acts on non-pulsating veins, but on the contrary, when it acts on arteries during the pulsating period due to heart contraction, +flX fluid This results in obstruction of flow.
