In general stamping, a stamping punch is punched before or after the part is molded, and letters or patterns are applied, but the punch is simply pushed in to create a recessed area, and the shape of the stamping punch is also a factor. The concave portion was extremely V-shaped, the printing width was small, and the concave portion and the surrounding area that was not engraved had the same finished surface, so the engraved characters, patterns, etc. were unclear.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to obtain an engraving method and an engraving punch with a relatively wide printing width and a clear contrast between the printed part and the surrounding area other than the printed part. The present invention will be explained in detail below.

First, as shown in the drawing, the side wall of the rising part that expresses the characters and patterns on the marking punch 1 has an isosceles trapezoidal cross section, and the taper angle θ is 50°±5°. The width t of the plane at the position from the pressing surface 3 of the marking punch 1 to the driving allowance height y is the printing width
It is formed to 0.1mm. The taper angle of this marking punch and the width of the pressing surface 3 are such that the driving width h is set to 7/100 mm so that the printing width is as wide as possible, and a concave part with a wide printing width is formed to avoid an extreme V groove when marking. We are anticipating a certain amount. If the taper angle θ is more than 50°±5°, the marking punch 1 will buckle due to marking, and if it is less than that, the cutting edge will be formed between the pressing surface 3 and the side wall 2, and the tip will break. The life of the stamping punch will be extremely shortened. By applying a mirror finish to the pressing surface 3 of the stamping punch 1, the beauty of the stamping surface can be further enhanced.

Next, a marking method using the marking punch 1 described above will be explained. After finishing the flat surface of the molded part to be engraved into a mirror finish in the same way as the pressing surface 3 of the above-mentioned marking punch 1, pressing a marking punch having a pressing surface that engages with a plane parallel to this flat surface. Make a stamp. As a result, the mirror surface of the stamp punch 1 and the flat mirror surface of the molded part maintain the mirror surface state of the bottom surface of the recess formed by the stamp. Thereafter, the flat surface of the molded part is polished with paper or the like to form a non-mirror surface. As a result, the surface of the engraved recess and the flat surface other than the engraved recess are formed parallel to each other, and therefore, the contrast between the mirror surface of the recess formed by the above-mentioned marking and the non-mirror surface of the surrounding flat surface becomes clear. , the printing width is wide, making it appear as if it is etched, and it is possible to obtain an excellent printing appearance with a high-class feel. As an example of the present invention, when engraving the back cover of a stainless steel watch case, the engraving punch pressure was 5 tons, and the engraving depth was 7/100 mm with good contrast. As described above, according to the present invention, an engraving with a wide printing width and clear contrast can be obtained by using the shape of the engraving punch and the engraving method.
