きくすることにより、長い人毛、大きな塵芥、荒
砂は最外層5aで捕集され、短い人毛、小片の塵
芥あるいは湯垢、細かい砂等は中間層5bあるい
は最内層5cで捕集されるため、ロ過布が目詰ま

ロ過布5a,5b,5cでロ過された水は排出管
4によつてもロ過されるが、排出管が活性石の粉
末およびミネラル、各種の有効成分を含有する物
質の粉末からなるため、透過の際にイオン交換さ
れて元の水質に戻されると共に、これらに含有さ
れている鉄、マグネシウム、亜鉛等の金属ミネラ
ルや有機質ミネラル、あるいはカルシウム、ナト
リウム等の有効成分が水溶性イオンの形態でロ過
水の中に溶け出し、さらにはPHが中性前後となる
ように調整される。これにより、ロ過水を飲料水
に供する場合には旨みが増し、又、浴用水に供す
る場合には浴用効果が増加する。ここで活性石と
しては、例えば、麦飯石、硫黄石等が選択され
る。又、ミネラル、各種の有効成分を含有する物
質としては、例えば黒曜石、流絞石、未風化真珠
岩等が選択される。これらの活性石および上記物
質は一種でもよく、二種以上を併用してもよく、
その配合比は使用目的に応じて適宜変更されるも
のである。なお、ロ過水内に雑菌が混入している
場合には、ロ過後のロ過液をオゾン殺菌するよう
にしてもよい。オゾン殺菌することで塩素殺菌が
不要となるから、刺激性も少なくなる。又、浴用
水に供する際にはオゾン殺菌前あるいはその後に
