Conventionally, in order to make a sliding contact, a large number of brush wires 1 are arranged in a row as shown in FIG. 1a, and a wire shown in FIG.
As shown in Figure 1d, the support plate 3 with the projection 2 provided at the center of one side is orthogonally welded by projection welding, and then the base end of the brush wire 1 is attached to the tip of the spring base material 4 as shown in Figure 1d. Sliding contacts 5, 5' are made either directly or by welding to the tip of the spring base material 4 via the support plate 3 as shown in FIG. 1e.

By the way, the sliding contact 5 manufactured by this method,
5', when the brush wire 1 is in a stationary state with no load applied, the sliding portion 1a curved in an arc shape at the tip fluctuates vertically, or horizontally as shown in FIG. 2b. It varies. Even if a load is applied to the brush wire 1, some brush wires do not come into contact with the mating board.

The reason why the sliding portion 1a of the brush wire 1 varies vertically or horizontally is because the base end of the brush wire 1 is welded to the tip of the spring base 4 either directly or via the support plate 3. This is because the brush wire 1 warps in any direction due to the effects of pressure, heat, etc. of the upper and lower electrodes, and even a very slight inclination.

An example of the method for manufacturing a sliding contact of the present invention will be described in the third section below.
To explain with reference to Figures a to e, as shown in Figure 3a, a large number of brush wires 1 are lined up on both sides of the wire bundle, and the brush wires 1 are arranged at regular intervals on both sides of the wire bundle, as shown in Figure 3b. A support plate 7 is made of a soft material such as 30% by weight Cu-Ni, and has a protrusion 2 in the center of one side thereof, and parallel protrusion 6 lower than the protrusion 2 on both sides thereof.
are arranged perpendicularly as shown in Fig. 3c, and then welded at the central projection 2 and clamped by plastic deformation of the projections 6 on both sides, and then as shown in Fig. 3d. As shown, a brush 8 obtained by cutting the wire bundle at the side edge of the support plate 7 and then cutting it
As shown in FIG. 3e, the base end is welded to the spring base material 4 via the support plate 7 to obtain a sliding contact 9.

Next, another example of the method for manufacturing a sliding contact of the present invention will be explained with reference to FIGS. 4a to 4e. As shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 4b, a protrusion 2 is provided at the center of one side of a plate made of a material softer than the brush wire 1, for example, 30% by weight Cu-Ni, with an interval therebetween, as shown in FIG. 4b. A support plate 7' comprising parallel projections 6 lower than
are arranged perpendicularly as shown in Fig. 4c, and then welded at the central projection 2 and clamped by plastic deformation of the projection 6 on one side, and then this wire bundle is The base end of the brush 8' obtained by cutting at the side edge of the support plate 7' as shown in FIG. 4d and then cutting as shown in FIG. 4e is directly welded to the spring base material 4 to form a sliding contact 9. ′ is obtained.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 3d, the base end of the brush is attached to the support plate 7.
In the case of welding to the spring base material 4 via the support plate 7, a projection may be provided in advance at the center of the outer surface of the support plate 7, and the support plate 7 may be welded to the spring base material 4 by projection welding.

Furthermore, the projections 6 on one or both sides of the support plate 7 may be provided inward instead of being provided on the edge as shown.

As described above, in the method for manufacturing a sliding contact of the present invention, a support plate 7 made of a material softer than the brush wires 1 is welded to a wire bundle in which a large number of brush wires 1 are aligned, and at the same time, the support plate 7 is welded using the central projection 2. , since the low projec- tion 6 on at least one side of the projec- tion 2 deforms plastically along the brush wire 1 without deforming the brush wire 1 and bites into the valley between each brush wire 1. , a wire bundle consisting of a large number of brush wires 1 is clamped by a projection 6,
The alignment state is maintained and fixed at a constant level. Therefore, even if the bundle of brush wire rods 1 held in a large number of alignments is subsequently cut, or when the cut brushes are welded to the tip of the spring base material 4 directly or via the support plate 7, Even if the brush wire 1 is affected by the pressure, heat, etc. of the upper and lower electrodes for welding, or even if there is a slight inclination of the upper and lower electrodes, the brush wire 1 will not warp, so the tip of the brush wire 1 will not warp. The sliding part 1a of the brush wire 1 does not fluctuate vertically or horizontally, and all the brush wires 1 are attached to the mating board during use.
The sliding portions 1a of the two contacts reliably.

Moreover, the sliding contact 9 made by the manufacturing method of the present invention,
9' is mechanically fixed by clamping the root part of the brush wire 1, where stress is concentrated during use, by the biting of the projection 6 as described above, so it has high strength compared to conventional fixing by welding. , extremely stable contact force can be obtained.

以上詳記した通り本発明の摺動接点の製造方法

As detailed above, according to the method of manufacturing a sliding contact of the present invention, the sliding parts of a large number of brush wires do not vary in the vertical and horizontal directions, and the sliding parts of all the brush wires are attached to the mating board during use. This has an excellent effect in that it is possible to obtain a sliding contact that can reliably make contact with each other and maintain a stable contact force with high strength at the root portion of the brush wire where stress is concentrated during use.
