(Prior Art) Conventionally, in order to seam-weld a brush wire to a base material to make a brush contact, a ladder-like shape fed between a lower rotating electrode 1 and an upper rotating electrode 2 as shown in FIG. The wire bundle 5 of the brush wire 4 which has been sent to the upper side of the band-shaped base member 3 in parallel with the band-shaped base member 3 is also seam-welded to the upper and lower rotating electrodes 2 and 1 by applying a pressure. The band-shaped brush contact material 6 thus produced is then combined with the band-shaped base material 3 as shown in FIG.
The left and right sides are cut off, and as shown in FIG.
The wire bundle 5 is cut at the outer edge of 3a to form the brush contacts 7.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) By the way, the wire bundle 5 of the brush wire 4 welded to each support portion 3a of the ladder-shaped band-shaped base material 3 has its welded portion collapsed and flat as shown in FIG. Since it is plate-shaped, the welding strength is low and unstable, and therefore, when the brush contact 7 is made and used in a trimmer, a potentiometer, or the like, the brush wire 4 may be broken at the welded portion during use. Was. In addition, the brush wire 4 welded to each of the ridges 3a of the ladder-shaped strip base 3
When the wire bundle 5 was cut, the brush wire 4 was sometimes separated in the vertical and horizontal directions.

(Function) When the electrode for welding a brush wire having the above structure is used as an upper rotating electrode for welding a wire bundle of the brush wire to each of the ridges of the ladder-shaped band-shaped base material, the brush wire is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the electrode. Because a number of grooves having the same radius of curvature are provided adjacent to each other in parallel, the brush wire is aligned and held by the grooves, and is seam-welded to each ridge portion of the base material by pressurizing the upper and lower electrodes. It is easily and accurately welded to each of the base members, and the opposite upper side maintains a circular shape and is not flattened like a conventional plate, so that the welding strength is high and stable. Further, since the brush wire is seam-welded in a state where it is aligned and held by the grooves on the outer peripheral surface of the electrode as described above, no deformation stress acts on the brush wire, and therefore, when the wire bundle of the brush wire is cut, the brush wire is It does not disperse in the vertical direction.

On the other hand, as a conventional example, a welding electrode of the same size and the same material as the embodiment having no semicircular groove on the outer periphery as shown in FIG. A ladder-shaped strip base material 3 as in the embodiment and a wire bundle 5 of twelve brush wires 4 as in the embodiment between the electrode 1 and the ladder-shaped base material 3 as in the embodiment.
, And seam welding was performed by applying pressure to the upper and lower rotating electrodes 2 and 1 to form a belt-shaped brush contact material 6. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6, the left and right sides of the band-shaped base material 3 were cut off, and as shown in FIG. 7, the wire bundle 5 was cut off at the outer edge of each of the ridges 3a to form the brush contacts 7.

Inspection of the welded portion of the brush wire 4 of the embodiment and the conventional brush contact made in this manner showed that the conventional example had a thickness of 0.05 mm.
While the sheet was crushed flat in mm to a plate-like shape, the example had a thickness of 0.07 mm, and was crushed by 0.02 mm on the weld side, but the top face had a circular shape.

As is clear from the above table, the welding strength of the brush wire of the brush contact of the example is higher than the welding strength of the brush wire of the conventional brush contact, and it can be seen that the variation is small and stable. In addition, the brush contacts of the conventional example had vertical and horizontal variations of 0.1 mm or more and 20 out of 1000 pieces, whereas the brush contacts of the embodiment had vertical and horizontal variations of such brush wires. There were no injuries.

(Effects of the Invention) As can be seen from the above description, according to the brush electrode welding electrode of the present invention, when the wire bundle of the brush wire is welded to the base material, the welded portion of the brush wire is accurately welded and flattened. Therefore, the welding strength is high and stable. Further, at the time of welding, no deformation stress acts on the brush wire, so that when the wire bundle of the brush wire is cut, the brush wire does not disperse up, down, left and right, so that a good quality brush contact can be obtained.
