There was a point where the inner cloth wore out, abrasion powder of the moving handrail was generated, and the coefficient of friction between the drive roller and the inner cloth became unstable and deterioration occurred over time. In addition, the conventional moving handrail has both ends 5a of the steel tape 5.
, 5b are overlapped and connected to form an endless structure, as is clear from FIG. 10, a step 3a is created on the inner surface cloth 3 at the connection part, which causes vibration and early wear of the inner surface cloth 3, and this is alleviated. Therefore, there was a problem in that the inner cloth had to be made thicker to some extent. This invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, and it prevents the wear of the inner cloth due to contact with the drive roller, prevents the generation of abrasion powder caused by this, and prevents the contact between the drive roller and the inner cloth. The object of the present invention is to provide a moving handrail for a passenger conveyor that eliminates the instability of the coefficient of friction of the steel tape, and also allows the inner fabric to be thin when it is on the surface side of the steel tape.

As in the conventional case, the handrail guide and the inner surface cloth are in contact with each other, and the inner surface cloth has a low coefficient of friction, so that the single moving resistance of the moving handrail is small. In addition, the moving handrail of the passenger conveyor according to the present invention is constructed by abutting both ends of the steel tape, and connecting both ends of the steel tape through a batten placed on the back side of the butt end. It is possible to prevent a difference in level from occurring at the connecting part.

。An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. In FIGS. 1 and 2, the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 9 and 10 indicate corresponding parts. In the movable handrail 1 according to this embodiment, a steel tape 5 is fixed with an adhesive 6 to the surface of an inner surface cloth 3 such as cotton cloth fixed to the inner surface of a rubber layer 2. The steel tape 5 is arranged at the center in the width direction of the inner peripheral surface of the moving handrail 1, which has a substantially C-shaped cross section. In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, both ends of the steel tape 5 are butted together, and a short length of steel tape similar to the steel tape 5 is placed on the back side of both ends 5a and 5b of the steel tape 5, spanning both sides of the butted ends of the steel tape 5. (The cut battens 7 are overlapped, and the battens 7 and both ends 5a, 5b of the steel tape 5 are fixed with an adhesive 8. In this embodiment, the steel tape 5 is used for rust prevention. The movable handrail 1 has an endless structure as a whole, and the structure of the rubber layer 2 and inner cloth 3 is the same as that of the conventional one. The use of the moving handrail as an example will be explained with reference to Figs. 3, 4, and 5. In Fig. 3, 9 is the main frame of the passenger conveyor, and 10 is a step (not shown) on the main frame 9. The balustrades 11 are the driving devices for the movable handrails 1, which are placed upright on both sides. As shown in FIGS.
A handrail guide 14 made of plastic or the like is fitted and fixed to the flanges 13a on both sides of the handrail guard 13, which are fixed to the handrail guard 13, and the inner surfaces of both sides of the movable handrail 1 of the handrail guide 14 are engaged and supported. Also, Fig. 3. As shown in FIG. 5, the drive device 11 includes a plurality of pairs of drive rollers 15 and pressure rollers 16 arranged vertically facing each other along the longitudinal direction of the passenger conveyor. The pressure rollers 16 are rotatably supported by the main frame via support members 17, and the movable handrail 1 is held between the drive roller 15 and the pressure roller 16 on the return side, and the steel tape 5 of the movable handrail 1 is held between the drive roller 15 and the pressure roller 16. is the drive roller 15 and the rubber F! The two surfaces are brought into contact with the pressure roller 16, respectively. Note that the drive device 11 is a normal device that drives the steps and the moving handrail synchronously by driving the drive roller 15 by a drive device (not shown). Then, the moving handrail 1 is moved by the drive device 1 on the return trip.
It travels due to the frictional engagement between these and the steel tape 5 due to the rotation of the drive roller 15 of 1, and is guided by the contact between the handrail guide 14 provided on the handrail 10 and the inner cloth inner layer 3 on the outward journey. Ru. In the movable handrail 1 of this embodiment, the driving roller 15 and the steel tape 5 are in contact with each other (see Fig. 5), so a large driving force can be obtained, and the steel tape 5 acts as a tensile member, so the moving handrail 1 has a high height without groaning. Strength can be maintained in a stable state for many years,
Abrasion powder is not generated due to contact between the steel tape 5 and the drive roller 15. Furthermore, since the handrail guide 14 and the inner surface cloth 13 made of cotton cloth or the like come into contact (see FIG. 4), the coefficient of friction between them is low and the running resistance is low. Furthermore, since both ends of the steel tape 5 are butted together to make it endless, there is no step at the connection part, and the contact between the drive roller 15 and the steel tape 5 is smooth even at the connection part.
No vibration occurs. In this embodiment, a steel tape 5 is embedded in the inner peripheral surface of the moving handrail 1 as shown in FIG.
The surface of the inner cloth 3 located on both sides of the steel tape 5 and the surface of the steel tape 5 may be made the same plane, or the surface of the steel tape 5 may be made concave from this. Effects similar to those shown in the figure can be obtained. 7 and 8 show other embodiments of the present invention. In FIGS. 7 and 8, the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 and 2 indicate corresponding parts, and a moving handrail 1 according to this embodiment is shown. 1 and 2 except that the steel tape 5 was attached to the back side of the inner cloth 3.
It has the same configuration as shown in the figure. The movable handrail 1 of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 is as follows:
It can be used in the same way as the moving handrail shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and the both ends of the steel tape 5 are butted together to make the mover [1] endless, so there is no step at the connection part of the steel tape 5.
By not creating a four-step difference in the inner cloth 3 on the front side,
The contact between the drive roller 15 and the inner cloth 3 is smooth,
Also, there is no need to thicken the inner fabric to alleviate the difference in level (
, thin inner cloth can be used. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, a steel tape is fixed to the surface of the inner cloth over the entire length of the moving handrail, and the steel tape is brought into contact with the drive roller of the drive device. In addition to obtaining driving force,
It does not generate abrasion powder, does not elongate over many years, and has high strength.Furthermore, the handrail guide and the inner fabric contact each other, and the inner fabric has a low coefficient of friction, resulting in a moving handrail with low running resistance. be. Further, according to the present invention, both ends of the steel tape disposed over the entire length of the handrail are butted together, battens are applied across both sides of the back side of the butted ends, and both ends of the steel tape are connected through the battens. By connecting the steel tape, there is no difference in level between the joints at both ends of the steel tape, and even at this joint, the contact between the handrail and the drive roller of the drive device is smooth, and a moving handrail that does not generate vibration can be obtained. The inner cloth fixed to the side has the effect that the thickness of the inner cloth can be made thinner.
