Conventionally, a headlamp uses a single paraboloid or multiple paraboloids as its reflecting mirror, and the positional relationship between the light source and the reflecting mirrors is shown in FIG. In Fig. 1, 1 is a running filament, 2 is a passing filament, 3 is a parabolic reflecting mirror, and 4 is a lens, and the running filament 1 is placed at the focal position (focal length F) of the reflecting mirror 3. The passing filament 2 is arranged near the front (distance l 1 ).

For this reason, in a headlamp with a fixed size, the amount of light emitted from the reflecting mirror is constant, so when increasing the luminous intensity near the center, the luminous intensity at the periphery decreases. Conversely, increasing the luminous intensity at the periphery reduces the luminous intensity near the center. Furthermore, since the set pattern has insufficient luminous intensity in the peripheral area, it becomes a light distribution pattern with poor visibility on winding roads such as mountain roads. Furthermore, the luminous intensity at the center is the luminous intensity necessary for confirming the front, and cannot be lowered to distribute light to the peripheral areas.

In the present invention, a portion of the reflecting mirror is made movable, and its movement allows the light distribution pattern to spread in the lateral direction, thereby obtaining an appropriate light distribution pattern depending on the road conditions.

3 to 5 show an embodiment of the present invention. Reference numeral 11 denotes a reflecting mirror having a paraboloid of revolution, which is in a fixed relationship with the light source (passing filament) 12, that is, in a fixed state. This reflecting mirror 11 has windows 11A and 1 at two locations on the left and right above its horizontal horizontal axis.
1B, and movable reflecting mirrors 13A and 13B in the form of partial paraboloids of revolution are arranged on the back surface of the mirror 1B, and are movable in the lateral direction. That is, usually the fourth
As shown by the solid line in Figures 4 and 5, the reflection surface is approximately flush with the fixed reflecting mirror 11, and if the brightness and spread of the peripheral area are required, the virtual shape is shown in Figures 4 and 5. As shown by the line, approach the central axis Z and its apex,
P 2 and P 3 move from the vertex P 1 of the reflecting mirror 11 to become axes Z A and Z B that are inclined with respect to the axis Z by angles θ and −θ.

With such a structure, the movable reflecting mirror 13A,
When 13B is in the normal position (NORMAL), the reflected light pattern is the pattern RP 1 by the fixed reflector 11, the movable reflector 13A,
The patterns RP 2 and RP 3 formed by 13B are continuous (semicircular), and the light distribution pattern after passing through the lens cut is as shown in FIG. 7a.

Furthermore, when the movable reflecting mirrors 13A and 13B are placed in a position closer to the axis Z (WIDE), the reflected light pattern is the same as that of the fixed reflecting mirror 11 as shown in FIG. 6b.
Pattern with RP 1 and movable reflectors 13A and 13B
The combination of RP' 2 and RP' 3 , that is, a pattern that spreads in the horizontal direction, and the light distribution pattern at that time, as shown in Figure 7b, directly reflects the degree of spread of the reflected light pattern, and is more horizontal than usual. This is a pattern that spreads.

In addition, in the illustrated example, switching is made between two positions, but
If intermediate moving points are provided, the number of pattern types increases by the number of intermediate moving points. Further, the degree of expansion on the right side and the left side may be adjusted by changing the degree of expansion, or the movable reflector in the direction of bending may be moved in conjunction with handle operation.

As explained above, in the vehicle headlamp according to the present invention, a window is provided in a part of the fixed reflector having a paraboloid of revolution, and a partial paraboloid of revolution is provided on the back side of the window in correspondence with the window. By disposing a movable reflecting mirror having a light distribution pattern, the movable reflecting mirror is arranged so as to be movable in the left and right directions with respect to the central axis of the lamp so that the light distribution pattern can be spread in the lateral direction. It is now possible to form an appropriate light distribution pattern according to road conditions, especially on roads such as expressways that are highly linear and are traveled at high speeds, where light distribution requires brightness in the center. On winding roads such as mountain roads, a light distribution pattern with brightness and spread in the periphery can be obtained, and in any case, visibility is improved, which is an excellent effect.

Another advantage is that by adopting a configuration in which a movable reflecting mirror having a partial paraboloid is provided, it is possible to easily manufacture a headlamp with improved functions in which the spread of the light distribution pattern changes by 1 to 2 times. It also has the same effect.
