1 and 2 show an embodiment of a cartridge-type writing implement according to the present invention, in which 1 is a barrel, and 2 is a cartridge having a pen tip 21, and this cartridge 2 can be moved back and forth into the barrel 1. is housed in. The cartridge 2 is biased rearward by a compression spring 3 fitted inside the front part of the barrel 1, and in response to a knock operation of a push-out member 4 provided at the rear end of the barrel 1. The pen tip is configured so that it enters and exits through a pen tip entry/exit passage 11 formed at the tip of the barrel 1. A ring-shaped permanent magnet piece 5 is fixed to the pen nib entrance/exit passage 11, and a magnetic fluid 6 is charged on the inner surface of the permanent magnet piece 5. The magnetic fluid 6 is a colloidal solution in which colloid-sized ferromagnetic powder such as magnetite is dispersed in a stable state in a non-volatile or non-volatile solvent such as polyphenyl ether, alkylnaphthalene, phosphate ester, etc. This solution itself apparently behaves as if it were magnetic. The magnetic fluid 6 is held at the tip of the barrel 1 by the magnetic force of the magnet piece 5, and seals the pen tip entrance/exit passage 11.

In the above configuration, when the writing instrument is not in use, the pen tip 21 is attached to the barrel 1 as shown in FIG.
The pen tip entrance/exit passage 11 is accommodated in the magnetic fluid 6.
Since the cartridge is sealed by
is completely isolated from the outside air. Therefore, evaporation of the ink within the cartridge 2 is reliably prevented.
In addition, when using the writing instrument, by knocking the push-out member 4, the cartridge 2 is advanced and the pen tip 21 penetrates the magnetic fluid 6, as shown in FIG. The pen tip 21 is made to protrude from. The resistance when the pen tip 21 penetrates the magnetic fluid 6 is extremely small because the magnetic fluid 6 is made of liquid, and the above-mentioned forward and backward operations can be performed with a very light force. The magnetic fluid 6 through which the pen tip 21 has penetrated in this manner is held at the tip of the barrel 1 by the magnetic force of the magnet piece 5, while surrounding the pen tip 21. In addition,
The push-out member 4 is configured to be locked in the state shown in FIG. 1 and the state shown in FIG. 2 each time the push-out member 4 is moved forward or backward by being knocked, and since this mechanism is well known, a detailed explanation will be omitted. .

Note that it is desirable that the outer surface of the pen tip 21 be formed to be smooth so that magnetic fluid is less likely to adhere thereto. Further, the magnet piece 5 does not necessarily need to be formed as a single ring-shaped piece, and a plurality of divided magnet pieces may be arranged around the pen tip entrance/exit passage 11. In this case, the magnet piece 5 The inner surface of the piece may be covered with a ring member made of a magnetic material such as an iron plate, and the magnetic fluid 60 may be loaded into the inner surface of this ring member.
