Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the hazing of reflecting mirrors at night by a method in which a heat-storage container packed with a heat storage material such as antifreezing agent is closely housed in the back of a road reflecting mirror, and heat in the daytime is stored. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 for housing a heat storage material is closely set on the back of a road reflecting mirror 1 and fixed by the back cover 4 of the mirror 1. The container 3 is fixed through a bracket projectionally attached to the back cover 4 to a strut. The container 3 made of a plastic or rubber is packed with an antifreezing liquid of a freezing point of -20 deg.C as a heat storage material. The hazing of the reflecting mirror during cold time can thus be prevented.

The main cause of fogging on road reflectors is that radiative cooling causes the mirror surface to become colder than the dew point of the surrounding air, and water droplets or ice particles adhere to the mirror surface.

In order to prevent road reflectors from fogging up, it is necessary to prevent the mirror surface from becoming colder than the surrounding air, and models that heat with electric heat have been manufactured for a long time, but maintenance costs are high and there are restrictions on where they can be installed. Due to its popularity, it is not used much except in particularly important places.

In addition to the above-mentioned version with a larger eave, JP-A No. 62-253808 also introduces a number of other methods, including one that reduces the temperature drop on the mirror surface by attaching an insulating material such as glass wool to the back of the mirror surface and insulating it from the outside air. Suggestions have been made.

However, with the above, the viewing angle of the reflector is small, making it difficult to position the reflector when installing it. Also, if it becomes deformed due to an accident, it is difficult to correct it, and the air resistance of the cover and eaves is large, so the overall , it is necessary to make it durable, which poses problems such as considerably high cost.

Furthermore, in actual use, the anti-fogging effect is insufficient (according to experiments conducted by the present inventors, dew or ice (frost) adheres to the mirror surface for 3 days in a 10-day experiment, making it difficult to function as a road reflector). It is clear that it will not work.

C) Problems to be Solved by the Invention The present inventors have solved the problems that conventional road reflectors with anti-fog devices have narrow viewing angles, are expensive, and have insufficient anti-fog effects. For this purpose, various experiments were conducted and it was discovered that it is necessary to relatively warm the mirror surface of a road reflector, and an efficient method for doing so was arrived at, resulting in the present invention.

Place the heat storage material in a bag or in a box that is tightly attached to the back of the reflector and attach it to the back of the reflector. In order to prevent heat from being transferred to the 6-reflector mirror and dissipating it in a short period of time, place the heat storage material in a container and the reflector. Sometimes a thin buffer layer is placed between the mirrors.

For example, when using a mirror with a diameter of 600mm, attach a plastic bag or rubber bag with a heat storage material capacity of 6.5β with a space between the back side of the boundary and the back cover, and then attach the bag body. Fill antifreeze with a freezing point of -20'C into a container such as 6.
When a reflector with the above configuration is installed, the heat storage material heated by solar heat during the day through the boundary surface of the reflector and the back cover on the back retains heat until early morning, and even during early morning radiation cooling, the mirror surface remains above the temperature. to prevent mirror surface scratches.

As shown in Figure 2, the 10-day observation was made by recording the mirror surface temperature and the air temperature at that time at 6:30 every morning and making a graph. Fabric production! The temperature is higher than the surface temperature of the 11-inch mirror, and higher than the air temperature. In addition, the reflective mirror of the present invention has a large difference in temperature on days when the mirror surface shows negative temperature and is prone to cloudy weather, while the mirror made by Company A shows a mirror surface temperature that is almost the same as the air temperature, and there is a difference in the mirror surface temperature. The reflector of the present invention has shown an extremely effective anti-fogging effect, based on one or more observational results that sometimes show a temperature lower than the air temperature.

E) Functions and Effects of the Invention The present invention relates to an improvement of a road reflector installed in a place with poor visibility on the road, which prevents the reflector from fogging that occurs in cold weather and always fulfills the function of the road reflector. It can contribute to improving road traffic safety. Conventionally, various products have been used to prevent fogging on road reflectors, but none of them have sufficient anti-fogging effects, causing problems in cold weather. However, in the present invention, the back surface of the reflector This problem was solved with a simple mechanism in which a heat storage material is attached or housed in the housing. As a result, the traditional eaves were made larger,
What greatly increases the effect compared to those that use heat insulating material is the container that holds the heat storage material. (4> is the back lid of anti-Qt i!Q.
