Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out treatment of throwing away, burning or the like with extremely superior sanitation and safety by collecting body fluid, cleaning liquid for the inside of body cavity or the like in a collecting container and then coagulating the collected one by means of a coagulating agent. CONSTITUTION:Waste liquid including body fluid and cleaning liquid for body cavity are sucked and collected into a synthetic resin collecting container 1, and then coagulating liquid 5 contained in a cup section 6 is sucked and fed into waste liquid in said container. As the waste liquid is coagulated immediately, coagulated waste liquid is thrown away together with the collecting container. At that time, a substance contained therein is not dispersed and flows out because of the damage to the container, nor the substance contained flows out even when the container is burned, by carrying out said process of superior sanitation and safety.

However, since collection bins are made of glass, they are easily damaged and are heavy (usually with a capacity of 5 to 8 gallons), making them difficult to handle.
It required careful attention. Furthermore, when disposing of waste,
Splash of waste liquid may splash onto the handler, which is dangerous. Waste fluids containing body fluids from patients with infectious diseases are usually sterilized, but in some cases this is not done, and if sprayed with such waste fluids, the patient is exposed to the risk of infection.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, even when disposable collection containers are used, the container may be damaged during transportation to a processing facility after collection, and the waste liquid inside the container may leak, or the container may be damaged. When disposed of or incinerated, there are problems such as the waste liquid scattering or flowing out, which not only poses a sanitary problem, but is also dangerous for those who will ultimately dispose of it.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The treatment method of the present invention, which has been made to achieve the second object, sucks waste fluid containing body fluids such as body fluids and intracavity washing fluid into a collection container made of synthetic resin. After collection, a coagulant is put into the waste liquid in the container to solidify the waste liquid, and then the solidified waste liquid is disposed of together with the collection container.

A stopper 2 made of a flexible material such as soft synthetic resin or rubber is attached to the opening of the collection container 1, and an L-shaped exhaust pipe 3 and a waste liquid introduction pipe 4 are connected to the stopper 2. It is installed in a penetrating manner. The waste liquid introduction pipe 4 is provided with a cup part 6 for accommodating the coagulant 5 at the upper part, and also has a branch pipe part 7. A three-way valve 8 is attached to the lower part of the cup part 6, and by switching the three-way valve 8, the valve part 6 or the branch pipe part 7 is brought into communication with the upper pipe part 9 inserted into the container. That is, when the three-way valve 8 is in the state shown in the figure, the branch pipe part 7 and the upper pipe part 9 communicate with each other, and when the three-way valve 8 is rotated clockwise, the cup part 6 and the upper pipe part 9 communicate with each other. The exhaust pipe 3 is connected to the vacuum pump side, and the branch pipe section 7 is connected to the patient side via a suitable tube.

The plug body 2, the exhaust pipe 3, and the waste liquid introduction pipe 4 may be integrally molded, and the waste liquid introduction pipe is provided with cocks 10 and 11 at the lower part of the cup part 6 and the branch pipe part 7, respectively, as shown in FIG. Of course, the three-way valve 8 may be used instead.

As the coagulant 5, various water-absorbing polymers are mainly used. For example, sodium polyacrylate, graft polymers of starch and acrylic acid, saponified copolymers of vinyl acetate and methyl acrylate, saponified copolymers of vinyl acetate and maleic anhydride, isobutylene and maleic anhydride. Examples include saponified products of acid copolymers. These high-molecular water-absorbing polymers contain organic substances such as pulp,
Inorganic substances such as silica, and in some cases disinfectants, bactericidal agents, and antibacterial agents can be appropriately blended. The coagulant is generally in the form of powder or granules, but as described below, depending on how it is added, it can be impregnated with nonwoven fabric or sandwiched between them and then cut into strips or other arbitrary shapes. things can be used. It may also be in liquid form.

To carry out the present invention, the air inside the collection container 1 is evacuated through the exhaust pipe 3 to create a negative pressure inside. As a result, the waste liquid flows into the branch pipe portion 7 of the waste liquid introduction pipe 4 via a tube or the like, and is sucked into the collection container 1 and collected. At this time, it goes without saying that the three-way valve 8 is placed in a position where the branch pipe section 7 and the upper pipe section 9 communicate with each other.

When the collection of waste liquid is completed, the three-way valve 8 is rotated to close the cup part 6.
The coagulant 5 contained in the cup part 6 is suctioned and dropped into the waste liquid by bringing the upper tube part 9 into communication with the cup part 6. Since the waste liquid is quickly coagulated by the coagulant 5, the container 1, the exhaust pipe 3, and the waste liquid introduction pipe 4 may be disposed of.

In the case of FIG. 2, it is sufficient to close the cock 11 and open the cock 10. In this case, the cock 10 may be opened after the cock 11 is closed and the exhaust pipe 3 is closed with a cock or the like. This is because the collection container 1 is in a state where negative pressure is maintained, and the coagulant 5 in the cup portion 6 can be sucked.

After collecting the waste liquid, the piston body 14 attached to the short tube 13 is pushed down. Then, the short tube 13 is broken and the coagulant 5 inside is thrown out. The short tube 13 is made of synthetic resin, glass, etc., and a thin wall may be provided on the tube wall so that it is easily damaged. 4a is a 17-shaped waste liquid introduction pipe. Incidentally, the exhaust pipe 3, the waste liquid introduction pipe 4a, and the short pipe 13 may be integrally molded together with the plug body 2 from synthetic resin.

In the case of FIG. 4, a droplet body 16 in which a coagulant is wrapped in a non-woven fabric, a woven fabric, a net or a water-soluble film is suspended from the stopper body 2. After collecting the waste liquid, a suitable cutter is cut into the cutting groove 17 of the stopper 2 to cut the hanging thread.

The coagulant dispensing method shown in Figures 1 to 4 is as follows:
Although the coagulant is dropped into the waste liquid after collection by suction, the coagulant may be placed in the bottom of the collection container 1 in advance.
In addition, as shown in Fig. 5, the stopper 2 has a band-like or string-like shape containing a coagulant.
719 may be suspended. However, in these cases, the waste liquid is absorbed by the coagulant and its volume changes, so there is a drawback that it is difficult to measure the amount of collected waste liquid.

In all of the above coagulant dropping methods, the stopper 2 is placed in the collection container 1.
Since this can be done without removing the pseudo-solid agent, there is no risk of splashing the waste liquid in the container when dropping the pseudo-solid agent, making it safe.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the treatment method of the present invention, the waste fluid containing body fluids collected in the collection container is coagulated by the coagulant.
