Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform hemostatic treatment and air leak treatment after operation in an extremely effective manner and to achieve clean finish after operation by using an absorbable film composed of a tissue absorbable polymer material. CONSTITUTION:A tissue absorbable polymer material is used. As this tissue absorbable polymer material, the gut of an animal such as a cow or a sheep, corium collagen hydrochloride of an animal such as a cow, polyglycolic acid, polydioxane, oxidized cellulose polyglactin 910 or the like can be used. This absorbable film is extremely useful for stopping numberless small bleedings from the surface of a muscle, preventing air leakage from the sutured part of the lungs, stopping the bleeding from the incision part of an atrium 2, the sutured part of a blood vessel wall, the anastomotic part of the coronary arteries, the bleeding from the dura mater and the bleeding from the marrow of a bone piece collecting part and temporarily protecting tissue.

However, since this is just a suture, the wound is not completely sealed, so bleeding from the wound may have a negative impact on post-surgery recovery. or,
In lung surgery, air leaks from the wound, which also has undesirable effects. In such a case,
Absorbable wound filler hemostatic agents have been used. This is a cotton-like material made of oxidized cellulose, for example, and was used by attaching it to the bleeding area. Another method for stopping bleeding is to apply an adhesive such as fibrin glue, Biobond, or cyanoacrylate to the bleeding site. However, no matter which method is used, the treatment takes a long time, and when the pressure of bleeding is large, there is no hemostasis effect at all, and the results are not satisfactory. In addition, when bleeding occurs from the tissue surface with a tendency to bleed, it is difficult to stop the bleeding only by applying these adhesives.
