Claims (1)
左右に千鳥状に配置し、各気筒の燃焼室上部に設
けられる単一のシリンダヘツドにクランクシヤフ
ト軸方向に沿つて2本のカムシヤフトを並設し、
夫々のカムシヤフトにその直下に位置する気筒の
バルブと、反対側に位置する気筒のバルブとを駆
動させた、交差型バルブ配置構造を有するダブル
オーバーヘツドカムシヤフト型エンジンにおいて
、 各気筒内で往復動するピストンの各頂面を、そ
の気筒に対応して異なるカムシヤフトによつて駆
動される2つのバルブの成す角度を二分する直線
に対して略垂直に形成し、さらに全ての吸気ポー
トを燃焼室上壁よりシリンダヘツドの一側部に指
向させ、全ての排気ポートを燃焼室上壁よりシリ
ンダヘツドの他側部に指向させることを特徴とす
るダブルオーバーヘツドカムシヤフト型エンジン
