にパツキン及びスプリング抑え部材を介してスプ
リングの付勢力により軸方向に付勢された固定環
を組付けてなる静止側シール本体と、前記機体内
に挿通される回転軸側の軸周に固定されるスリー
ブの外周にカツプガスケツトを介して前記固定環
に摺接される回転環を組付けてなる回転側シール
本体とを備え、この回転側シール本体のスリーブ
を、前記静止側シール本体のケーシングの嵌合孔
に差し込み挿嵌し、かつ前記スリーブの差し込み
端部をフレアー状に曲成加工して互いに一体的に
組付けユニツト化したメカニカルシールであつて
、前記スリーブの差し込み端部にスリツトを切設
