Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a raw sheet printed with patterns on the top and reverse faces in such a manner as to agree the shape and color of the patterns with each other by applying a pattern on the top face of a raw sheet of a slit foil with a roll engraved with a pattern having symmetricity with respect to the circumferential direction of a printing roll and applying the same pattern on the reverse face while keeping the direction of the roll relative to said raw sheet and placing the roll to the reverse side of the raw sheet. CONSTITUTION:Patterns a, a', b, b' are applied to a surface of a raw sheet 4 of a slit foil using a roll engraved with patterns a, a', b, b' having a line symmetricity with respect to the circumferential direction (transfer direction) of a printing roll or a printing rotary screen 1. The right and left of the roll 1 are inverted relative to the state of the application of the obverse and reverse patterns and the obverse and reverse faces of the sheet 4 are inverted to position the roll 1 on the reverse side. As an alternative method, the lateral directions of the roll and the sheet are maintained in the state of the application of pattern to the obverse and reverse faces and the roll is placed to the reverse side of the raw sheet 4 while keeping the direction of the roll in the state of the application of the surface pattern. A pattern is applied to the reverse face to obtain the objective raw sheet of a slit foil having patterns a, a' at the obverse left side of the raw material 4 and patterns b, b' on the right side of the material. The patterns b, b' applied to the reverse right face are matched with the patterns a, a' applied to the left side of the material. The color tones are also matched between the obverse and reverse faces.

Generally, the reason why a cut foil material is made into a double-sided pattern that is plane symmetrical on the front and back is that when the cut foil obtained by slitting it is woven into it during textile weaving, the pattern element (the pattern element (the slit) This is because even if the part (in which the pattern was initially subdivided) is turned over, the pattern element on the back side occupies the front side, making it a kind of reversible by cutting foil in the ability to express the pattern. The patterns that appear on textiles are an accumulation of woven cut foil and adjacent pattern elements. The greatest characteristic of the technique of creating patterns on textiles by weaving patterned cut foil is that the pattern originally appearing on the original cut foil is reproduced on the fabric without much distortion; in other words, the pattern is hardly distorted. It is particularly suitable for delicate and/or elegant patterns that can appear on textiles as similar to images. Therefore, it is important that the pattern appearance of cut foil is reversible, so that the texture of the pattern is consistent between the front and back.

Conventional technology and its problems However, no method has yet been developed to industrially guarantee that not only the design but also the texture of the hues on the front and back sides of paper cut foil sheets will match. However, there is a problem in that it is not possible to fully utilize the usefulness of this type of cut foil material due to its front claw characteristics.

Therefore, the inventors of the present invention aimed to create a symmetrical pattern on the front and back sides of the cut foil material using the above-described printing or stamping method, and in addition to matching the pattern on the front and back sides, the inventors also sought to improve the texture of the color. We conducted various studies to make the two sides consistent, but in the process we encountered the following problem.

Theoretically, a roll or rotary screen for printing or imprinting a pattern can be created, one for the front side and the other for the back side of the drawing lines that have a mutually symmetrical pattern, and these can be used to print or imprint the cut foil material. If a pattern is applied to the front and back sides of a paper, the color and texture of the front and back patterns should be the same, but when we actually tried this, we were able to make the density and ink density of the printing ink the same on two rolls or rotary screens. Even though
This resulted in an inconsistency in the texture of the colors of the front and back patterns.

As a result of investigating the cause of this, the inventors of the present invention discovered that the method of photoengraving, which is one of the best plate-making methods in terms of faithfulness in copying the drawing line pattern to the original, has been made with the highest precision possible industrially. Even if two rolls or rotary screens are made, there will be halftone dots or holes in the line pattern between the two rolls or rotary screens.
Subtle differences in one or more of size, density, and depth,
It was determined that this was the cause of the inconsistency in the texture of the hues of the front and back patterns.

That is, according to the present invention, a predetermined pattern can be reversibly applied to the front and back sides of the cut foil material using the same roll or roller screen, so that the front and back sides printed or stamped on the cut foil material can be reversibly applied. Unless the density and degree of ink coverage of the printing ink (or printing paste) are changed in printing or printing on the front and back sides, the pattern will appear as having the same hue and texture on the front and back sides. Furthermore, this desirable result can be easily achieved by using the same roll or rotary screen for forming the pattern on the front and back sides.
