Abstract

PURPOSE:To greatly raise the efficiency of operation compared to manual operations for saving power required by a method in which a wire brush covered doubly with inner and outer hoods is set on a moving truck and asbestos is removed by electric power. CONSTITUTION:A rotary wire brush 15 is doubly covered with inner and outer hoods 8, and the inside of both the hoods is evacuated by air suction in such a way as to avoid the pollution of environments by the fine powder of asbestos. Flange-inserting slits 10 are formed to match various sizes of steel-frame beams 9 in front and back sides of the outer hood 8. The excess side space of the outer hood 8 below the beams 9 is closed by a movable hood 22 to prevent the occurrence of trouble even when the sizes are different. Asbestos can thus be removed from the beams 9 of various sires by only one device.

All workers will wear dust-proof clothing, dust-proof masks, and gloves, and use a spatula to scrape off asbestos adhering to the steel beams, and then use a wire brush to remove any residue. After the asbestos falls onto the floor of the building, it is swept up using creeping trees, etc., packed in a plastic bag, sealed, and taken outside. The floor is then cleaned by wiping it with a wet mop to ensure that no asbestos remains.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the past, asbestos was not only inefficient because it was done manually, but also required skill to remove asbestos from steel beams because the work was done at high places. The disadvantage was that it was easy for this to occur. Additionally, during work, asbestos dust is scattered and suspended in the surrounding area, creating a poor working environment and posing a health risk. Also, workers have to wear highly airtight dust-proof clothing, which causes them to sweat, resulting in hard work. .

During asbestos removal work using the wire brush 15, the suction device 32 is operated to suck outside air through the gap 14 between the inner and outer hoods 8 and 11, causing the scattered asbestos powder to collide with the inner hood 11 and leak to the outside. At the same time, this powder is carried by the airflow and is transferred from the bottom outlet of the outer hood 8 to the suction duct 27.
The speed of the airflow flowing through the zero gap 13, which is discharged through the drum 28 and collected into the drum can 28, is preferably X speed of 5 m/sec or more.

In addition, multiple flange insertion slits are drilled on the front and rear surfaces of the outer hood to accommodate steel beams of various sizes, and the movable hood connects the extra side openings of the outer hood that extend below the steel beams. Therefore, even if the steel beams have different sizes, their flanges can be inserted into any of the slits in the outer hood, and furthermore, when the movable hood is raised or lowered, the side openings of the outer hood can always be linked. Therefore, it is possible to remove asbestos from steel beams of various sizes with one device without any problems.

[Scope of Claims] An outer hood with open side and upper surfaces facing the steel beam is provided, and a plurality of flanges into which the flange portion of the steel beam is slidably inserted are inserted into the front and rear surfaces of the outer hood. A slit is bored, and a flexible inner hood that contacts the steel beam is connected to the inside of the outer hood, and a gap for outside air intake is formed between the inner and outer hoods, and a gap is formed inside the inner hood. An outer hood that accommodates a rotary wire brush and installs its brush rotation axis so that it can move up and down relative to the outer hood, and further connects a movable hood that can move up and down to the outer hood so as to extend below the steel beam. The side opening is closed off by this movable hood, and a suction duct is connected to the bottom outlet of the outer hood through a dust collector to a suction/exhaust fan, and these inner and outer hoods, movable hood, and wire brush are moved onto a moving trolley Asbestos removal equipment for steel beams that can be installed in a height-adjustable manner.
