Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sorting precision of onions by installing a plurality of string bodies which are set to have a level difference each other and move in parallel in right and left sides and separating objects which drop from the gap between the strings in right and left from remaining objects which are kept going on the strings while they are transported. CONSTITUTION:When onions on a roller conveyer come to a first classification sorter, only ones which can pass the gap between V-belts 17a, 17b whose distance is previously set in class (S) drop downward and are received on a drawing conveyer. The remaining onions then come to a second classification sorter, ones which meet the gap between V-belts 17a, 17b set in class (M) drop downward. Like this, in a third and fourth classification sorters, onions are classified into (L), (2L), and the rest of the onions are classified as (3L). The V-belts are set in the way that the V-belts 17a and the V-belts 17b are set reciprocally in a high position and in a low position respectively, so as to align the onions in an order and make it easy to pass the gap between the V-belts.

[Problem to be solved by the prior art and the invention] - In order to sort green onions, conventionally, holes of a predetermined shape are formed in a wide belt conveyor or a rotating drum so that the holes do not fall through. A form in which the belts are sorted into categories, or a form in which the class is sorted based on whether or not the narrow belts that are arranged at a certain interval on the left and right fall fall or not (imaginary line in Fig. 7).

However, in the former form, there is a risk that the stems and roots may get caught and proper sorting may not be possible. In addition, in the latter form, the belt in the transfer and sorting process tends to swing in the left and right directions, impairing the sorting accuracy.

This invention is an attempt to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and consists of a plurality of belt-like string-like bodies that move in parallel from side to side and are provided with alternating steps to receive the materials to be sorted. The apparatus is configured to classify onions, etc., which separates and sorts objects to be sorted, which fall from the gap between left and right string-like bodies while being transported, and objects to be sorted, which remain on the string-like bodies and are transferred.

In addition, compared to the case where a spherical object such as an onion is dropped from the space between the string-like bodies arranged in a row (i) on the same surface -1-, since there are steps alternately on the left and right, the onion does not come into contact with the string-like bodies. It changes its position and rolls easily, reducing stagnation.

In addition, when a V-belt is used as the string-like body, since the force due to the onion contact acts on the V-belt in an oblique direction, the belt rigidity can be utilized to a large extent, and the belt interval can be distorted, thereby increasing the sorting accuracy.
