により上記各多板式クラツチ装置の切換装置を制
御する変速制御装置とを具えた自動変速機におい
て、車両のブレーキ装置の作動不良を検出するブ
レーキ異常センサと、ブレーキペタルの操作を検
出するブレーキセンサとを有し、同ブレーキセン
サがブレーキペタルの操作を検出し且つ上記ブレ
ーキ異常センサがブレーキ装置の作動不良を検出
したときに前記変速制御装置を介し変速機の現速
度段以外の作動していない多板式クラツチ装置を
作動させて出力軸を停止させるように構成したこ
