トとラジエータの間に冷却水ポンプにより循環さ
せるエンジン冷却装置において、前記エンジンブ
ロツク内の燃焼室に対して薄肉の燃焼室内壁面を
隔てて隣接形成された冷却水ジヤケツトと、該冷
却水ジヤケツト内の冷却水をエンジンブロツク外
に貯留できる冷却水貯留室と、前記エンジンブロ
ツクの前記燃焼室近傍の温度を検出する温度検出
手段と、前記温度検出手段により検出された燃焼
室近傍の温度が設定値以下のとき、前記冷却水ジ
ヤケツト内の燃焼室近傍部の冷却水を前記冷却水
貯留室に排出し、前記燃焼室近傍の温度が設定値
以上のとき前記冷却水貯留室内の冷却水を前記冷
却水ジヤケツト内に戻す冷却水制御装置とを備え
