ンジンの冷却装置において、シリンダブロツクの
冷却ジヤケツトを縦方向複数に独立させる隔壁と
、該隔壁の上端面に連続しシリンダヘツドの冷却
ジヤケツトの下部所定高さに設けられる仕切り壁
と、前記隔壁及び仕切り壁により分割された冷却
ジヤケツトのシリンダ列方向一方端の冷却ジヤケ
ツトに設けられ冷却液の必要最低水位を検出する
最低水位検出手段と、前記分割冷却ジヤケツトの
シリンダ列方向他方端の冷却ジヤケツトに設けら
れ冷却液の通常水位を検出する通常水位検出手段
と、前記最低水位検出手段及び通常水位検出手段
の検出信号に基づき冷却液を供給する冷却液供給
手段と、前記最低水位検出手段が設けられる側の
冷却ジヤケツトに設けられる冷却液入口と、を備
