脚片の対向側に固定接点が背面側に磁極板がそれ
ぞれ固着された2個を一対とする固定接触子、該
固定接触子の対向間を上下方向に摺動自在なホル
ダに支持され前記固定接点間を橋絡開放する可動
接点を備えた可動接触子でなる接触子装置に付属
される消弧装置であつて、前記接触子装置を極毎
に区画する消弧室の内壁幅が前記可動接触子の動
作領域内壁幅より広く消弧室を構成する両側壁に
排ガス溝がそれぞれ形成され上方が開口された絶
縁枠と、該絶縁枠に固着され前記可動接触子の上
方に位置するとともに両端が可動接触子の両端に
接近するように形成された短絡板と、前記消弧室
内に前記固定接触子のそれぞれと直交するように
間隔をおき並設された平板状の消弧グリツドと、
この平板状の消弧グリツドの外側に配置され先端
が互に内側を向くL字状に形成され少なくとも外
側の上縁に切欠きが、その他の折曲げ部近傍に角
窓がそれぞれ設けられた消弧グリツドと、前記絶
縁枠に着脱自在に取付けられ上方開口部を閉塞す
る絶縁蓋とを備えてなることを特徴とする電磁接
