Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a loose preventing pin of a movable contact unnecessary and simplify the assembling by holding a support pin supporting the movable contact to a holder in a hook groove by the reaction of a contact spring. CONSTITUTION:A movable contact 3 is rotatably supported to a holder 1 by a support pin 4, and a counterclockwise contact force is added thereto by a contact spring 7 consisting of a torsion spring wound on the support pin 4. The support pin 4 passing through the movable contact 3 has the both ends inserted into a groove 10 formed on the opposite surface of the side wall 1a of the holder 1. The groove 10 in which the support pin 4 of the movable contact 3 is inserted has a hook form, and the contact spring wound on the support pin 4 is installed in such a manner as that the reaction of the contact spring 7 added to the support pin 4 is directed to the direction pushing the support pin 4 to the terminal of the groove 10. Thus, the movable contact 3 is held to the holder only by the spring force of the contact spring 7 without particularly using a loose preventing means. Hence, the loose preventing pin is made unnecessary, and the assembling is made easy.

However, such a conventional configuration has the following drawbacks. That is, in order to assemble the movable contactor 3 into the holder 1, the movable contactor 3 is assembled with the contact spring 7, and the support pin 4 is inserted into the movable contactor 3, which is then inserted into the holder 1 all at once. 6 cannot be attached, and is implanted after the movable contact 3 is attached to the holder 1. As a result, the work becomes redundant and the assembly becomes complicated. Furthermore, due to the gap G between the retaining pin 6 and the front end surface of the holder 1, the movable contact 3 may be displaced in the longitudinal direction when the circuit breaker is turned on, resulting in a problem that its position is unstable. The present invention provides a movable contact support device for a circuit breaker that allows the movable contact to be held in a holder without using a retaining pin, which simplifies assembly and prevents the movable contact from shifting. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail based on FIGS. 1 to 3. Note that parts that are substantially the same as those in the conventional example are given the same reference numerals. Figure 1 shows the movable contact part of a 3-pole circuit breaker.
FIG. 1(A) is a partially broken plan view of the holder, and FIG. 1(B) is a sectional view taken along the line B--B. Also,
Figure 2 shows the shape of the holder in detail.
) is a front view, and FIG. 2(B) is a sectional view taken along line B-B. In FIGS. 1 and 2, reference numeral 1 denotes a holder made of an insulating material (molded resin), which has a substantially rectangular cylindrical shape consisting of side walls 1a on both sides, an upper wall 1b, and a lower wall 1c, and various holders 1 are integrally formed. They are connected to each other by an opening/closing shaft 2. A movable contact 3 is rotatably supported on the holder 1 by a support pin 4, and is rotated counterclockwise in FIG. given contact force. Here, both ends of the support pin 4 passing through the movable contact 3 are inserted into grooves 10 formed in the opposing surfaces of the side wall 1a of the holder 1. 8 is a movable contact, and 9 is a lead wire. As shown in FIG. 2(B), the groove 10 has one end connected to the holder 1.
A slightly diagonally upward lateral groove portion 10a that opens on the rear end surface 1d.
and a vertical groove portion 10b that curves upward from the other end of the horizontal groove portion 10a at right angles thereto. Note that there is a groove 10c below the vertical groove 10b that opens to the lower end surface of the holder 1, but this is due to the structural necessity of the mold for molding the vertical groove 10b, and the structure of the present invention is It's not necessary. Further, a corner of the side wall 1a below the lateral groove 10a has a protrusion 11 that projects to engage the contact spring 5. To assemble the movable contact 3 into the holder 1, place the U-bent part of the contact spring 7 on the top surface of the movable contact 3, insert the support pin 4 into this, and then connect both ends of the support pin 4. It is pushed into the holder 1 from behind while being fitted into the horizontal groove 10a, thereby bending the contact spring 7 and engaging the tips of both legs with the protrusion 11 of the holder 1. As a result, the support pin 4 rises within the vertical groove portion 10b due to the reaction force from the winding portion 7a of the contact spring, and reaches the assembled state shown in FIG. 1 when it abuts the terminal end of the vertical groove portion 10b. That is, in FIG. 1(B), a reaction force in the direction shown by arrow P acts on the support pin 4 from the winding portion 7a of the contact spring 7, and the support pin 4 is pressed against the terminal end of the hook-shaped groove 10. Therefore, the support pin 4 will not come out of the groove 10 even if no special means is taken to prevent it from coming out. In the illustrated embodiment, the groove 10 has an upwardly hooked shape, but it may alternatively have a downwardly hooked shape. Figure 3 shows a circuit breaker (molded case circuit breaker) incorporating the above-mentioned movable contact part, Figure 3 (A) is a plan view with only half the cover removed, and Figure 3 (B) is its top view. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B=B. In Fig. 3, 12 is a mold case, 13 is a mold cover, and the opening/closing shaft 2 connecting the holder 1 is shown in Fig. 3 (
As shown in A), it is rotatably fitted into the side wall 12a and partition wall 12b of the mold case 12. The current path includes a fixed contact 14 that also serves as a power supply side terminal, a fixed contact 15,
It is formed by the movable contact 8, the movable contactor 3, the lead wire 9, the tripping coil 16a of the electromagnetic disconnecting device 16, and the load side terminal 17. The figure shows the closed state of the circuit breaker, and the movable contact 3 is moved to the fixed contact 14 by the opening/closing mechanism 18 while bending the contact spring 7.
is under pressure. The support pin 4 of the movable contact 3 is pressed against the end of the groove 10 by the reaction force of the contact spring 7. When the operating handle 19 is turned to the right in the figure from the illustrated state, the opening/closing mechanism 18 is reversed and the movable contact 3 is rotated clockwise in the figure and separated from the fixed contact 14. Even in this state, since a preload is applied to the contact spring 7, the reaction force against the support pin 4 does not disappear, and the movable contact 3 continues to be held by the holder 1.

According to this invention, the support pin that supports the movable contact on the holder is held in the hook-shaped groove by the reaction force of the contact spring, so that a pin to prevent the movable contact from falling out is not required, and assembly is simplified. Further, since the support pin is pressed against the end of the groove, there is no play in supporting the movable contact, and the movable contact is always stably held in a fixed position throughout the opening and closing of the circuit breaker.
