Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 冷却フインと、この冷却フインに装着された半
    導体スイツチ素子とで構成され、電流指令値と一
    致した電流を通流させる電流調節手段を備えた電
    力変換装置において、前記電流指令値から得られ
    る損失、および前記半導体スイツチ素子の熱抵抗
    とから、当該半導体スイツチ素子の接合部と前記
    冷却フインとの間の温度差を求める手段と、前記
    電流指令値から得られる前記令却フイン上の損失
    、および当該冷却フインの熱抵抗と熱時定数とか
    ら、この冷却フインと周囲との間の時間的に変化
    する温度差を求める手段と、別途設定され、また
    は検出される周囲温度に、前記半導体スイツチ素
    子接合部・冷却フイン間温度差と、前記冷却フイ
    ン・周囲間の時間的に変化する温度差とを加算す
    る手段と、この加算結果が所定値以上のときに、
    前記電力変換装置に流れる電流を減少させる保護
    手段とを備えていることを特徴とする、電力変換
    装置の保護装置。
