色の画素を表示するための第３色画素表示用セグ
メント電極とを多数列に形成したマトリツクス型
のカラー液晶表示素子において、前記各セグメン
ト電極をドツト状電極とし、これらセグメント電
極を、各コモン電極に対してそれぞれ４行以上に
かつ奇数行のセグメント電極と偶数行のセグメン
ト電極とをコモン電極長さ方向に１／２ピツチず
らして配列するとともに、奇数行のセグメント電
極は、第１色画素表示用セグメント電極、第３色
画素表示用セグメント電極、第２色画素表示用セ
グメント電極の順で交互に配列し、偶数行のセグ
メント電極は、第２色画素表示用セグメント電極
、第１色画素表示用セグメント電極、第３色画素
表示用セグメント電極の順で交互に配列して、前
記コモン電極の長さ方向に対して交差する方向に
並ぶ各列の同色画素の表示用セグメント電極同士
をその両側のセグメント電極列間を通る信号線に
