(産業上の利用分野) 本発明はプログラマブル・コントローラ(以
下、PCという)へ接続される周辺装置の制御方
法、より詳しくは、情報交換用プログラムカセツ
ト(以下、カセツトという)を備え、汎用化され
たプログラミング装置、記録装置等周辺装置にお
ける誤動作を防止するための制御方法に関する。 (従来技術) PCに接続されるプログラミング装置や記録装
置等の周辺装置は、従来、PC機種ごとに専用の
ものが使用されていたが、最近、内部構造の一部
をカセツトに分割し、大部分を共通化してその汎
用化を計つた周辺装置が実用化されつつある(特
開昭57−206965号公報、特開昭57−206966号公
報)。 第1図は、かかる汎用化された携帯型プログラ
ミング装置の一例を示したもので、同図中、1で
示す装置本体には各種キー群2の他、カセツト装
着部3が設けられ、該カセツト装着部3には情報
交換用のカセツト4が装着されるようになつてい
る。カセツト4は、第2図に示すように、情報交
換用プログラムの入つたROMメモリ部5,5と
コネクタ6とを有して成り、PC機種ごとに専用
のものが用意される。 しかして、上記プログラミング装置の内部構造
は、第3図に示すように、装置本体1にはCPU
11と、システム制御プログラムの入つたROM
メモリ部12と、補助レジスタであるRAMメモ
リ部13と、シーケンスプログラム用フアイルレ
ジスタであるRAMメモリ部14と、キーボード
部KYB15およびその入力部KI16と、キヤラ
クタデイスプレイ部CD17およびその出力部CO
18と、回路パターンデイスプレイ部CID19お
よびその出力部CIO20と、PCとの情報交換用
の情報伝送部TRN21と、同じく情報交換用の
バツフア22とを備え、また、カセツト4には前
記した情報交換用プログラムの入つたROMメモ
リ部5を備えている。 そして、上記各メモリ部は、第4図に示すアド
レス空間領域にそれぞれ分割使用されるようにな
つている。すなわち、システム制御プログラム領
域D1はROMメモリ部12に、システム用補助
レジスタ領域D2および情報交換用プログラム補
助レジスタ領域D3はRAMメモリ部13に、シ
ーケンスプログラムフアイルレジスタ領域D4は
RAMメモリ部14に、情報交換用プログラム領
域D5はROMメモリ部5にそれぞれ収納されて
いる。 かかる構成により、装置本体1にPCの各機種
に専用の情報交換用カセツト4を装着すると、シ
ステム制御プログラム領域D1から制御が情報交
換用プログラム領域D5に移され、各種PCの情
報が所定の基準回路情報に変換されて、これによ
り統一した形成で各種PCにプログラムができる
ようなる。 なお、CRT表示付プログラミング装置、液晶
表示付プログラミング装置、あるいは記録装置
等、他の汎用化周辺装置の場合も、前記携帯型プ
ログラミング装置と基本構成は同一であり、いず
れもカセツトに分割した情報交換用プログラム領
域を有する。 しかるに、上記した汎用化周辺装置を正常に動
作させるには、それぞれの周辺装置に適合したカ
セツトを装着する必要があるが、用意されるカセ
ツトが多数に上り、かつカセツト形状も同一であ
るため、従来、不適合のカセツトを装着すること
が往々にして起こり、これによつて周辺装置が正
常に動作しないばかりか、接続されているPCへ
も、異常な通信等をして悪影響をおよぼすことが
あり、問題になつていた。 (発明の目的) 本発明は上記従来技術の問題点に鑑み、装置本
体に誤つて適合しないカセツトを装着しても、そ
の誤りを速かに報知し、もつて装置の安全性、信
頼性を確保することのできる汎用化PC周辺装置
の制御方法を得ることを目的とする。 (発明の構成) そして、この目的は、先ず、装置本体内のシス
テム制御プログラム領域でカセツト側に設定され
た認識コードと機種コードとの正当性を確認し、
続いて、カセツト内の情報交換用プログラム領域
で装置本体側に設定された機種コードの正当性を
確認し、かかる相互確認を終えた後に、本来の処
理プログラムへ制御を移すようにした制御方法に
よつて達成される。 (実施例) 以下、本発明の実施例を添付図面にもとづいて
説明する。 本願発明の特徴とするところは、前記従来の汎
用化周辺装置の構成に加え、装置本体1内のシス
テム制御プログラム領域D1とカセツト4内の情
報交換用プログラム領域D5に、各周辺装置とカ
セツト4の種類とが適合しているかどうかを相互
に確認する特有のコードを予め設定した点にあ
る。 すなわち、第5図に示すように、システム制御
プログラム領域D1のアドレスAKWD1には全
汎用化周辺装置で共通に定めた機種コードKWD
1を収納する領域が設けられ、一方、第6図に示
すように、情報交換用プログラム領域D5には、
その入口アドレスA4+1から特定の個数のアド
レスA4+10間に供給されたカセツト4が汎用
化周辺装置用に適合することを示す、同じく共通
に定めた認識コード20……03を収納する領域とア
ドレスAKWD2に同じく共通に定めた機種コー
ドKWD2を収納する領域とがそれぞれ設けら
