[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Field of Application] This invention relates to a printing paper useful when printing is performed with a thermal transfer recording device that uses a ribbon containing a disperse dye as an ink component.

The method of heating a ribbon containing disperse dye as an ink component using a thermal head or the like and sublimating the ink component of the ribbon to print on paper, etc. is generally done using cellulose, which is the material of the paper to be printed. The disadvantage is that the distance between molecules is narrower than that of the disperse dye, making it difficult for the sublimated disperse dye to diffuse internally, and the disperse dye adheres to the surface of the printing paper in a crystalline state, making it impossible to obtain good dispersed coloring. It was hot.

In addition, papers with good surface properties and poor air permeability, such as art paper, may fuse to the ribbon after printing.
There was a problem in that the paper and ribbon stuck together.

This idea was created in view of the problems mentioned above, and by incorporating chemical fibers into which disperse dyes can easily diffuse into the cellulose fibers that serve as the printing paper, it was possible to create a printing paper with excellent coloring properties. This is what we are trying to provide.

When the printing paper P is manufactured in this way, 50 to 70% of the printing paper P becomes polyester fibers F, so this printing paper P is superimposed on an ink ribbon made of disperse dye, and then a thermal transfer recording device is used. When heated, the disperse dye of the ink ribbon sublimates and penetrates into the fibers of the printing paper P.

The penetrated disperse dye molecules then diffuse well between the molecules of the polyester fiber F, resulting in color development.

In addition, since the polyester fiber F is mixed with cellulose fiber, which is the material of the paper, sufficient air permeability is maintained, and the diffused dye vapor is trapped by this air permeability. This has the advantage of improving color development and preventing fusion between the ink ribbon and the printing paper P.

Note that acetate fibers can be used instead of polyester fibers, and it is also possible to incorporate thermoplastic resins or thermosetting resins having similar properties as fibers.

As explained above, since the printing paper of the present invention has polyester or acetate fibers mixed into the cellulose fibers that are the material of the printing paper, the disperse dye of the ink ribbon is well absorbed by the polyester or acetate fibers. This has the effect of promoting diffusion and dispersion color development and shortening the heating time for printing (recording).

Furthermore, compared to the case where a coating layer containing saturated polyester is simply provided on the surface of the paper, the air permeability of the printing paper can be ensured sufficiently, and the fusion between the printing paper and the ink ribbon can also be improved.

さらに、本考案の印刷紙は紙の漉き込み工程で

Furthermore, since the printing paper of the present invention only needs to be mixed with polyester fibers or acetate fibers during the paper mixing process, it has the effect of reducing manufacturing costs.
