In the comb-shaped sliding brush 1 shown in FIG. 1, each brush band material 2 is formed by punching out a band-shaped material with a die, so due to wear of the die or uneven mold processing technology, etc. Each brush strip material 2 may have a step difference or may be tilted diagonally to either the left or right. If such a sliding brush 1 is attached to a spring base material and used as a sliding contact, the contact with the commutator becomes unstable, causing uneven wear, increasing the amount of wear, and shortening the life of the commutator. This causes uneven rotation.

The present invention has been made in order to solve this problem, and aims to provide a sliding brush in which the brush strip has no steps and is not tilted from side to side.

In the sliding brush of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, in a comb-shaped sliding brush 1', both left and right ends of each brush strip 2' are curved in the same direction with equal curvature. It is characterized by the formation of reinforcing ribs 2a.

In this way, each brush strip material 2 whose right and left end portions are curved in the same direction with equal curvature to form reinforcing ribs 2a is cut by the adjacent brush strip materials due to the formation of reinforcing ribs 2a during the press cutting process. 2' has no level difference in the vertical direction, and each brush strip material 2' is not tilted diagonally to either the left or right, and is entirely horizontal. Therefore, when the sliding brush 1' having such a brush band material 2' is attached to a spring base material and used as a sliding contact, the contact with the commutator becomes stable and uneven wear is eliminated.
The commutator is worn out uniformly over the entire surface, reducing the amount of wear and the life is extended, and the rotation of the commutator is stable because there is no irregularity in rotation.

As detailed above, in the sliding brush of the present invention, the left and right ends of each brush strip are curved in the same direction with equal curvature to form reinforcing ribs, so there is no step in each brush strip. , it is horizontal with no left or right inclination, so when it is attached to a spring base and used as a sliding contact, the contact with the commutator is stable, and the wear is uniform over the entire surface without bias, reducing the amount of wear. This has the excellent effect of increasing the life of the commutator and eliminating irregularities in the rotation of the commutator, making it more stable.
