This short fiber flocked body is generally made by applying an adhesive for planting short fiber groups to a mount (a) and then electrostatically spraying it onto the adhesive-coated surface (c). The short fibers are planted by conventional means such as d
Next, after drying this and fixing the short fiber group planted on the mount to the mount to form a flocked mount, this short fiber group is placed on the top of the short fiber group planted on the e-mount to the grafted object. It is manufactured through the steps of forming a grafting adhesive layer for grafting on the fiber, drying it, and fixing the grafting adhesive layer on top of the short fiber group.

That is, first of all, when producing a short fiber grafted flocked body through step e of forming a grafting adhesive layer on the flocked mount made through the steps a to d above, the short fibers grafted to the mount are It may be necessary to color the staple fibers. This grafting adhesive layer or coloring process is usually carried out by screen printing. Therefore, when forming this flocked mount, the conventional idea of simply creating an adhesive layer for planting short fibers on the mount and then planting the short fibers on this was used. When it dries after being planted, the mount may wrinkle or curl due to the difference in the shrinkage rate of the mount wet from the application of adhesive and the shrinkage rate of the adhesive layer applied to the mount surface. This results in the disadvantage that it is not possible to accurately form a colored print in accordance with the positioning, as well as the graft adhesive layer formed thereon.

When coloring the short fibers planted on the second flocked mount, the ink must be applied to the roots of the short fibers planted on the mount.
Otherwise, when the short fibers are transplanted to a transplanted object such as a shirt and the mount is peeled off, the top of the short fibers transplanted to the fabric surface of the shirt (the top of the short fibers implanted on the mount) Since it is transplanted onto a fabric surface such as a shirt, after completion of transplantation, only the root of the short fiber group planted on the backing paper (which will become the top of the transferred short fiber) will be transplanted without being colored.

Thirdly, when carrying out short fiber transplantation work on the surface of fabric such as shirts using the short fiber grafted flocked body, the short fibers grafted onto the flocked mount are heated and pressed using the transplant adhesive layer of the short fiber grafted flocked body. After adhering the tops of the fiber groups to the cloth surface such as a shirt, when the backing paper is peeled off from the cloth surface such as a shirt, the roots of the transplanted short fibers are easily pulled out from the backing paper and are attached to the cloth surface such as a shirt. Because the short fibers are planted on the mount at the base of the transplanted short fibers, fragments of the adhesive applied to the mount and the mount may peel off together with these fragments, and the fragments are attached and removed. must be prevented from being exposed. Otherwise, for the same reason as explained in Section 2, fragments of the grafted adhesive layer or mutually peeled pieces of the backing paper may be attached to the top of the short fiber group grafted to the fabric surface of the shirt, etc. Become something.

Therefore, in order to eliminate the first drawback, it is necessary to prevent the flocked mount from curling or wrinkles and to maintain smoothness. In order to eliminate the second drawback, the adhesive applied to plant the short fiber groups on the mount should be
It must not be applied so thickly that it forms a layer, and it must have properties that allow the printing ink to seep through. In order to eliminate the third drawback, the mount and adhesive should be integrated, and the adhesive applied to the mount should be prevented from peeling off from the mount, and the adhesive should be applied to the mount to increase its toughness. Consideration must be given, such as increasing the tensile strength and increasing the tensile strength.

In addition, as the adhesive applied to the water-permeable high-quality paper serving as the mount base material, thermoplastic synthetic resins such as acrylic resins, vinyl acetate resins, latex resins, and vinyl chloride resins are available. A surfactant is mixed into this.

Add this to 1 m 2 of adhesive with a viscosity of 50 to 300 cps.
It is applied at a rate of 30 to 80 g/m 2 using a bar coater method in order to penetrate the above-mentioned high-quality paper serving as the mount base material to some extent. In addition to the bar coater method, there is a knife edge method as a method for applying adhesive to the paper surface. With the knife edge method, even if you try to apply an adhesive with a low viscosity as described above, the adhesive will flow from the knife edge mechanism to the paper surface. It cannot be used because it will flow down, and it can only be used to apply adhesives with a certain degree of viscosity. Furthermore, since the knife edge method is a method in which an adhesive having a certain degree of viscosity is applied to the paper surface, the adhesive is applied in a layered manner onto the paper surface with a certain degree of thickness.

Therefore, if the mount coated with adhesive by this method is not a somewhat firm and strong mount, it will dry due to the difference in the shrinkage rate of the mount wetted by the adhesive. , the backing paper may wrinkle or curl.

Furthermore, if a thick layered adhesive layer is formed on the paper surface, a mount inevitably has the above-mentioned drawbacks.

The mount, which is the base material of the short fiber grafted flocked body according to the present invention, is made by applying an adhesive having the above-mentioned components to the paper of the above-mentioned material in the above-mentioned proportions using a bar coater method. The mount, which is the base material of the short fiber grafted flocking mount according to the invention, contains a synthetic resin adhesive component in the fibers constituting the mount.
Due to the action of the surfactant, the synthetic resin adhesive that penetrates properly and is applied to the mount surface has a thin viscosity as described above, so the synthetic resin adhesive is applied to the mount surface in a layered manner. It is applied with the idea of making the paper sticky, so to speak.

Therefore, when this is dried, the synthetic resin adhesive permeates into the fibers that make up the mount due to the action of the surfactant, and the synthetic resin adhesive becomes integrated with the mount and maintains some degree of wettability. Since the mount is kept and dried, there is no possibility that the mount will curl and crease due to the difference in shrinkage rate between the mount and the synthetic resin adhesive component permeated into the mount. In addition, this synthetic resin adhesive maintains its adhesive strength without losing its function as an adhesive even when it dries under certain conditions (Example: 60°C ± 10°C). Since it is applied very thinly to the backing paper, even if short fibers are sprayed onto this using a method such as electrostatic spraying, the roots of the short fibers will remain in the adhesive layer applied to the backing paper. Rather than being planted in a buried state,
Since the plants are planted in contact with the mount surface coated with adhesive, when coloring them, the effect of the surfactant mixed in the adhesive as described above, together with the Even the roots of fibers can be easily colored.

Furthermore, since the mount according to the present invention maintains its adhesive strength even after drying as described above, it can be mass-produced and cellophane, oil paper, or other release paper adhered to the surface. If you keep it in storage, it will withstand long-term storage, and you can make as many flocked mounts as you need.
