着で生ずる凸所を着色テープで被包するキルテイ
ングが採用されるのが通常である。然し、このキ
ルテイング方法では加工に手間が掛るばかりでな
く、着色テープを正確に位置決めさせて縫着する
のが困難である。

即ち、本発明に係る表装材の製造方法において
は、フオーム材を介して表面フイルム、裏地フイ
ルムを積層した表装材の所望な表面個所に熱可塑
性の着色フイルムを載置し、その着色フイルムと
共に押圧型の断面略凹状を有する押し刃で表装材
を押圧させて着色フイルムの溶着縁を押し刃の突
端部で付形する凹所に埋込みしかも押し刃の窪み
部で付形する凸所の表面を着色フイルムで被着さ
せて凹凸模様を形成するようにされている。

は、高周波ウエルダーまたは加熱型5によるウエ
ルデイング加工を適用することができる。そのウ
エルデイング加工を適用するため、フオーム材
1、表面フイルム2、裏地フイルム3としては塩
ビフイルム、ウエルダーフオーム等の熱可塑性の
ものが用いられている。また、この凹凸模様4の
付形に先立ち、当該凹凸模様4の付形個所に相応
して表面に金色等の着色が施された帯状の着色フ
イルム5を載置する。このフイルム5は塩ビ等の
熱可塑性のものであり、凹凸模様4の付形と共に
ウエルデイング溶着可能なものが用いられてい
る。このフイルム5を載置した状態で高周波ウエ
ルダーまたは加熱型等の押圧型6で押圧すると、
フオーム材1、表面フイルム2、裏地フイルム
3、着色フイルム5を一体に熱溶着することがで
きる。その押圧型6としては断面略凹状の押し刃
を有するものが用いられ、この押し刃の突端部6
aで付形する凹所4aに着色フイルム5の溶着縁
を埋込むと共に押し刃の窪み部6bで付形する凸
所4bの表面に着色フイルム5を被包させて凹凸
模様4を形成するようにできる。また、この熱溶
着で着色フイルム5に余剰部分5aが生じる場合
には余剰部分5aを溶着線より引き切ることによ
り除去することができる。
