Conventional technologies and their problems Conventional water intake means for pumping agricultural water from rivers include intake frames, intake pipes, water intake towers, and buried water collection pipes. In recent years, surface water intake valve systems have been put into practical use due to their ease of installation, maintenance, and management. Even with the surface water intake valve system, foreign objects such as sand, leaves, and aquatic plants flowing into the river frequently clog the intake valve strainer, making it impossible to pump water. However, it does not escape the disadvantage that it requires a lot of work.

Means for solving problems in this invention In order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional invention, this invention uses a strainer (a V-shaped screen with angles arranged in a V-shape, or a wedgie wire screen, etc.) in flowing water of a river. (There is almost no blockage at the opening)
installed at a downward slope (0° to 20°) with respect to the flow,
A foreign matter storage chamber is provided below the strainer to collect foreign matter that has passed through the strainer and fallen downward, and a suction pipe chamber for the pump is provided adjacent to the foreign matter storage chamber via a partition wall. A one-way valve that flows toward the pipe chamber is installed, and a one-way valve that flows toward the foreign matter storage chamber is installed below the partition wall, and the flowing water from above the foreign matter storage chamber is connected to a suction pipe from which foreign matter such as sand has been removed. When the pump is stopped, the foreign matter accumulated at the bottom of the suction pipe chamber is returned to the foreign matter storage chamber by the backflow in the suction pipe riser pipe, thereby constantly cleaning the suction pipe opening.
The present invention provides a water intake device having a structure in which the reservoir section only needs to be cleaned regularly.

indicates the direction of river flow, and NWL indicates the normal water level in the equipment section. A pump room P is provided on a river embankment 30, and river water is taken in from the device 1, passes through a suction pipe 4, and is sent to an irrigation canal 18 on the embankment by a lift pump 5. The example shown is for a case where it is installed in a part of the belting work for river improvement. 2 is a part of the belting work, and a water conduit is installed under the embankment on the pump room side so that the flow surface during the dry season of the river is NWL. and embed the water intake device 1 therein. In the figure, 6 is the priming unit;
7 is a control panel, 16 is a check valve, and 17 is a vacuum breaker valve. The intake device has intake weir plate 1 at the upstream entrance.
4 and then a strainer 10 is installed downwardly towards the flow. This slope shall be between 0° and 20°. A portion of the flow passes through strainer 10;
It enters the foreign matter storage chamber 20, passes through the one-way valve 11 located above the partition wall 22 and flows toward the adjacent pump suction pipe chamber 21, enters the suction pipe chamber 21, and enters the suction pipe 4 from the bell mouth 9. , is sucked into the pump 5.

The strainer 10 is comprised of a V-shaped screen with angles arranged in a V-shape, a wedge wire screen, or the like. Below the discharge wall 22 is a one-way valve 12 that allows flow to the foreign matter reservoir. As a result, since the one-way valve 11 is located above the partition wall 22, fine foreign matter such as sand that has fallen downward through the strainer 10 is prevented from entering the suction pipe chamber.On the other hand, when the pump is stopped, water falling from the suction pipe 4 is prevented from entering the suction pipe chamber. The accumulated foreign matter in the suction chamber 21 can be moved into the foreign matter storage chamber 20 from the one-way valve 12 located below, and at the same time, the eyes of the strainer 10 can also be backwashed.

Fine foreign matter such as sand accumulated in the foreign matter storage chamber 20 can be flushed out downstream by periodically opening the corner drop 13 provided on the downstream side of the device 1 if there is a head difference between the device and the riverbed. . Next, if the installation is in a place where the head cannot be taken, the intake weir plate 14 is raised to block the inflow of water into the water intake device 1, and the corner drop 15 of the bypass flow channel 3 is opened, and the river water is Bypass in that direction. Then, remove the strainer 10 upward. Note that it is convenient to handle the strainer 10 if it is divided into parts considering the weight. In this way, foreign matter such as sand in the foreign matter storage chamber can be manually scraped out.

Effects The river water intake device of this invention has such a configuration, and there is almost no blockage at the water intake, and there is almost no possibility that water cannot be pumped. It also makes it easier to remove foreign substances inside, which is even more effective for water intake for agriculture in mountainous areas.

The strainer uses a V-shaped screen or wedge wire screen, and is installed on a downward slope with respect to the flowing water of the river, so there is no clogging due to the washing effect of the flow. Furthermore, even if the strainer becomes clogged, the water intake device can be automatically backwashed with backflow water inside the pump body and in the suction riser every time the pump is stopped.

Furthermore, foreign matter such as sand that has entered the water intake device should not be sucked into the pump to prevent wear on the pump and check valve, and foreign matter collected in the foreign matter storage chamber should be removed periodically. When the water pump is running automatically, no human intervention is required.
