(Prior Art) Resistors, semiconductors, and many other electrical components are soldered to printed circuit boards used in various electrical appliances and devices. In order to solder various electrical components to such a printed circuit board, as shown in FIG. The lead wire 5 of the electrical component 4 is inserted into the small hole 3, and the lead wire 5 and the conductor 2 are soldered. The end of the lead wire 5 inserted through the small hole 3 is in a state of protruding from the lower surface of the substrate 1. Therefore, as shown in FIG.
When a large number of electrical components 4, 4 are attached to the upper surface of the board 1, a large number of lead wires 5, 5 protrude from the lower surface of the substrate 1. Each lead wire 5,5
Since the lengths of the lead wires 5 and 5 are slightly different,
The amount by which 5 protrudes from the lower surface of the substrate 1 varies.

If the ends of the many lead wires 5, 5 protruding from the bottom surface of the substrate 1 are not cut short, the adjacent lead wires 5, 5 may contact each other and shoot, or the ends of the lead wires may The printed circuit board gets in the way and makes it impossible to attach the printed circuit board to the electrical appliance. Therefore, the large number of lead wires 5, 5 protruding from the bottom surface of the substrate 1 has a protrusion amount of 0.8 to 1.5 m from the bottom surface.
However, it is extremely troublesome to manually cut the ends of a large number of lead wires using tools such as nippers.
A rotary blade is used to cut the ends of the many lead wires into short lengths. That is, as shown in FIG. 8, a large number of electrical components 4, 4 are attached to a carrier 7 which is provided horizontally movably along a guide rail 6, and a board 1 is mounted on which a large number of lead wires 5, 5 are protruded from the bottom surface. The carrier 7 is moved manually or by a drive device (not shown) above a rotary blade 9 driven by a motor 8, and the numerous lead wires 5, 5 are shortened by the rotary blade 9. Trim. The carrier 7, on which the board 1 with the lead wires 5, 5 protruding from the bottom surface cut short, is returned to its original position, and then the board 1 with the lead wires cut is taken out and a new one with the lead wires not cut is removed. After placing the substrate 1, the carrier 7 is moved back and forth again to trim the lead wires.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, when trimming the ends of the lead wires of the printed circuit board as described above, the following disadvantages occur. That is, in FIG. 8, while rotating the rotary blade 9, the carrier 7 is moved to the left to trim the ends of a large number of lead wires 5, 5.
If the carrier 7 is moved to the right, the lower end surfaces of the trimmed lead wires 5, 5 will come into contact with the upper surface of the rotary blade 9, which will not only accelerate the wear of the rotary blade but also damage the entire board 1. This is undesirable because fine vibrations are added and have an adverse effect on the soldered parts between the lead wire and the conductor and on the electrical components.

b. Structure of the invention (Means for solving the problem) The printed circuit board lead wire end trimming device of the invention slides one side edge of the carrier against a horizontal guide rod provided on one side of the carrier. The carrier is equipped with wheels that roll on the upper surface of a horizontal guide rail on the lower surface of the other side edge of the carrier. Further, both ends of the guide rod are supported by a pair of elevating members supported by a guide so as to be movable up and down, so that the guide rod can be moved up and down while remaining horizontal. Further, a roller is supported at the lower end of each of the pair of elevating members, and this roller abuts the upper surface of a cam rod disposed below the guide rod. A pair of protrusions are formed on the upper surface of this cam rod at the same intervals as the above-mentioned pair of elevating members, and both ends of this cam rod are connected to the lower ends of a pair of levers whose intermediate portions are pivoted. It is locked in. The upper end of this lever has a fixed part facing the carrier, and when the carrier moves to the end of the guide rail and guide rod, the upper end of one of the pair of levers is pushed. That's what I do.

(Function) When using the printed circuit board lead wire end trimming device of the present invention configured as described above, when trimming a large number of lead wires protruding from the bottom surface of the printed circuit board, first move the roller at the lower end of the lifting member to the cam rod. The protrusion on the upper surface is brought into contact with the removed part, and the carrier is moved with the guide rod lowered to cut the many lead wires into short lengths. When all the lead wires were cut and the carrier moved to one end of the guide rod, the part fixed to the carrier pushed the upper end of one of the levers, causing this lever to rotate and lock onto the lower end of the lever. The cam rod is moved in parallel, the roller at the lower end of the elevating member rides on the protrusion, and the guide rod is raised. As this guide rod rises, the lower end surfaces of all the lead wires are positioned higher than the top surface of the rotary blade, so the carrier can be returned to its original position without the lower end surfaces of the lead wires coming into contact with the top surface of the rotary blade. can be returned to position. When the carrier returns to its original position, the part fixed to the carrier pushes the top end of the other lever and moves the cam rod in the opposite direction to the above case, disengaging the roller at the bottom of the lifting member from the protrusion and lowering the guide rod. and prepare for the next trimming of the lead wire ends.

Therefore, when trimming a large number of lead wires protruding from the bottom surface of the board, move the carrier 7 to the right in FIG. 36 to cam rod 3
With the protrusions 46, 46 of 8 in contact with the removed portion and the guide rod 30 lowered, this carrier 7
A board with uncut lead wires is placed on the board, and then the carrier 7 is moved to the left, and the rotary blade 9 trims the many lead wires protruding randomly from the bottom surface of the board. When all the lead wires 5, 5 are trimmed and the carrier 7 is moved to the left end of the guide rod 30 as shown in FIG. 2, the head 45 of the left bolt 44 pushes the upper end of the left lever 40. Each lever 4
0 and 40 in the counterclockwise direction, and move the cam rod 38 to the right in FIGS.
The guide rod 30 is raised to swing the carrier 7 into the state shown in FIG. 4. Thereafter, the carrier 7 is moved to the right, moved to the right end of the guide rod 30, and then the board with the lead wires cut and aligned is taken out. At this time, the lower end surfaces of the many trimmed lead wires 5, 5 do not come into contact with the upper surface of the rotary blade 9, which may accelerate wear on the upper surface of the rotary blade 9 or cause vibration to the board. It never gets across. When the carrier 7 moves to the right end, the levers 40, 40 are rotated clockwise again and the guide rod 30 is lowered to prepare for the next lead wire end trimming.

In the illustrated embodiment, the spacing between the supporting members 16, 21, 26 of the carrier 7 is adjustable;
This carrier 7 is designed to allow substrates of various sizes to be placed on it, but the gist of the present invention is that the lower end surface of the lead wires after being trimmed by the rotary blade is aligned with the upper surface of the rotary blade when the carrier is returned to its original position. The structure of the carrier is not particularly limited. Therefore, when always trimming and aligning the lead wires of boards of the same size, the structure of the carrier can be made simpler than the illustrated example.

c. Effects of the invention The device for trimming and aligning lead wire ends for printed circuit boards of the present invention is configured and operates as described above, so that the end of the lead wire after trimming comes into contact with the rotary blade, causing wear of the rotary blade and damage to the board. It is possible to completely prevent vibration transmission, which not only extends the life of the rotary blade but also prevents printed circuit board failures. or,
Because no noise-generating devices such as solenoids or air cylinders are used to raise and lower the carrier, the work environment inside the room is not degraded, and unlike when using hydraulic cylinders, the movement is slow and equipment is not damaged. It doesn't get bigger.
