Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a natural lumber decorative sheet with an excellent surface smoothness and surface physical properties in simple processes by laminating a sheet, in which a thermosetting resin is impregnated and dried into a decorative sheet which comes to be transparent or translucent after molding, on the decorative surface of a basement material comprising a natural laminated lumber, and thermopressedly molding this between hot plates. CONSTITUTION:An overlay layer 2 is thermopressedly molded laminating a sheet, in which a thermosetting resin is impregnated and dried into a decorative sheet which comes to be transparent or translucent after molding, on a basement material 1. As a decorative sheet, an original paper is used, which comes to be transparent or translucent after molding in impregnating a thermosetting resin such as a decorative sheet overlay paper used with lumber pulp, tissue paper, synthetic resin pulp paper and the like, and which is preferably 30-50g/m<2>. It is possible that the decorative sheet is colored in the paper process or printing process and the like of the original paper by the use of pigment or dye which comes to be transparent or translucent. As a thermosetting resin to be impregnated to the decorative sheet, melamine/formaldehyde resin, diarylphthalate (DAP) resin, benzoguanamine resin, acetoguanamine resin, polyester resin and the like are given.

Conventionally, as a surface decoration method for natural wood laminated materials such as rubber and alder, a method has been used to protect the surface while making the most of the natural beauty of the wood grain by applying a surface coating. This painting process generally has the following basic steps: - Sanding sealer painting - Drying - Sanding and polishing - Top coat painting, and further repeats painting and sanding to achieve a painted feel.

Naturally, therefore, the cost also increases. Furthermore, since it is a surface coating, it is very difficult to obtain a smooth and glossy surface, and many steps are required to achieve such a surface. Additionally, the types of resins commonly used as paintable resins have insufficient hardness and are easily scratched, and if surface hardness is required, special resins and processes are required. If a thick coating is applied, problems arise in terms of surface properties, such as the occurrence of cracks in the coating.

In the process of impregnating the decorative sheet with the thermosetting resin mentioned above, an impregnating machine that normally impregnates base paper for decorative laminates can be used, and the amount of resin deposited is from the same amount to about three times the weight of the decorative sheet used. You can use The decorative sheet impregnated with the thermosetting resin in this way has an angle of 80 to 120 degrees, for example.

Next, the dried thermosetting resin-impregnated sheet is laminated on the base material, and hot pressure molding is performed. For hot-press molding, a normal molding press can be used. For example, in low-pressure melamine molding when using melamine resin, in a multi-stage method, the temperature is 150°C, the pressure is 15-20 kg/C, and the time is 8-10 min. In the single-stage type (short cycle type), the temperature is 180-190°C, the pressure is 20-2
Hot-pressure molding may be performed under molding conditions of 5 kg/cIII and time of 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds. In addition, when molding DAP, hot-pressure molding is performed in a multi-stage molding process at a temperature of 130 to 135° C., a pressure of 8 to 10 kg/cd, and a time of 10 to 15 minutes.

Normally, a mirror plate is used in hot pressure molding, but if a flat plate is used as the mirror plate, a smooth surface can be achieved, and the gloss and surface properties can be easily changed depending on the type of mirror plate. . For example, it is also possible to use an embossed plate with a textured surface.

On this surface, an impregnated paper made by impregnating Kojin overlay paper OL-P (42g/%) with diallyl phthalate resin (impregnation rate 78%) using a normal impregnation machine was laminated. Using a glossy Shuramin board as a mirror plate, press molding is carried out using a low-pressure multi-stage press at a press temperature of 135° C., a pressure of 10 kg/c 1 M, and a time of 15 minutes. The obtained molded board was a natural wood decorative board with a smooth surface and a textured feel. This decorative board is JAS (Japanese Agriculture and Forestry Standards)
When surface physical property tests were conducted based on the FW type, all of the tests passed, confirming that the surface properties were equivalent to those of general thermosetting resin decorative laminates (DAP decorative laminates).
