Display devices such as CRT and liquid crystal are currently used for this purpose. However, these devices have the disadvantage that many pages cannot be viewed at the same time. On the other hand, printers output data and images on paper, so they can view many pages at the same time and are efficient, but they have the disadvantage of being expensive per page.

In BL, a boundary line is drawn between the image-formed product and the heat-melt release body, but if the image-formed product (heat-melt ink)
If it is the same as the heat-fusible peelable body, or has a composition close to that, they will be compatible and there will be no boundary line. For example, many metals and resins can be used for the ink remover. Whether the hot melt ink and hot melt release material sticks to the ink release material or to the support depends on the adhesive strength of the contact surfaces of each material and the cohesive force of the hot melt ink and heat melt release material. Furthermore, it depends on whether the support is curved for peeling or the ink stripping body is curved for peeling. Assuming that the ink release body and the support are made of the same material and have the same surface condition, and the cohesive force of the hot melt ink and the hot melt release body is greater than the adhesive force (the heat melt ink and the support body are When the heat-fusible release material is solid), the heat-fusible ink and the heat-fusible release material are separated from the curved side and remain on the flat surface. Such a relationship is well known in the field of adhesion.

It is also possible to curve the ink release body and adjust the relationship between the adhesive forces of each part so that even if the ink release body is peeled off, the hot melt ink and the heat melt release body stick to the side of the ink release body. be. However, often
The adhesion of the hot-melt ink to the support becomes weak (poor fixation of the image carrier), which often causes problems.

An image carrier consisting of a support 101 and an image forming material (heat-melting ink) 102 moves in the direction of the arrow and comes into contact with the ink supply means 205 . The ink supply means 205 is composed of a heat roller 203 , a roller 204 , an ink peeling body 201 (in the illustrated case, an endless belt), and a heat-melting peeling body 104 .

I have not drawn it because it would only make the explanation too complicated. The heat-fusible release body 104 is melted by a heat roller 203 and placed on the image carrier. In this state, it moves in the direction of the arrow, and when it cools down, the support is peeled off by a peeling means 206 consisting of a peeling roller 202. At this time, the image-formed material adheres to and is carried toward the heat-fusible peelable body in a state of solidification or increased cohesive force.

The side of the image-formed product (heat-melting ink) of this image was placed on a paper (smoothness: 40 seconds) and passed between a heat roller (metal) at about 105°C and a pressure roller (silicone rubber). Although some bleeding occurred, clear printing was possible. At this time, the hot-melt ink remained on the image carrier without being completely transferred. A commercially available thermal transfer sheet (manufactured by Fuji Kagaku Paper Co., Ltd., ink melting point: approximately 70°C) was placed on top of this, heated, and squeezed with a roller to expel air bubbles. When this was cooled and the thermal transfer sheet was kept flat and the image carrier was curved and peeled off, the image carrier was cleaned.

The image is peeled off from the support by the step (2) of stacking the ink release body and cooling and peeling off the ink release body, so that the support can be easily cleaned. Also, using this,
It is also useful as a high-definition display device because it can erase what has been written on it. Furthermore, when used in a printing device, a dirty blanket after transfer can be easily cleaned, and printing on rough paper, which is difficult with normal thermal transfer, becomes easier.
