りを向上することのできる連続鋳造用鉄板挿入装
置を提供しようとするものである。

に2本の鉄板搬入アーム11がそれぞれ支軸12
を介して水平方向に回動(旋回)可能に取付けら
れ、各搬入アーム11は適宜駆動装置(図示しな
い)によつてモールド4に近接した搬入位置と、
モールド4から離間した待機位置(鉄板供給位
置)とに旋回されるようになつている。なお、搬
入アーム11は中空状に形成されている。また、
搬入アーム11の旋回中心は、レール2a上を横
移動可能とされている前記タンデイツシユ2の移
動軌跡から外れた点に設定されており、待機位置
にあるときには、タンデイツシユ2の修善のため
のあるいは加熱のための各位置への移動を妨げな
いようになつている。

動指令が与えられる。この作動指令に基づき、ま
ず各グリツパ24の開閉アーム23が受台28上
に置かれた挿入すべき鉄板29の棒部29aを把
持すると、搬入アーム11が第2図の実線で示す
ようにタンデイツシユ2に接近した搬入位置に旋
回される。しかるのち、位置決め用シリンダ16
が作動し、グリツパホルダー22を第2のガイド
ロツド18に沿つて前進させるため、グリツパ2
4にて把持された鉄板29は第6図に示すように
ノズル3の下端とモールド4の上面との間の小さ
な隙間Sに水平に差し込まれ、そして該鉄板29
がモールド4の注入口4aの真上位置に達した時
点で停止される。斯る状態で挿入用シリンダ16
が作動し、可動体15と共にグリツパホルダー2
2およびグリツパ24を下降させ、鉄板29をモ
ールド4の注入口4aに挿入して溶鋼内に所定深
さ沈める。鉄板29が挿入されると、横動用シリ
ンダ26が作動しグリツパ24を若干横動させて
鉄板29の一端縁を注入口4aの内壁に当接させ
る。この内壁には通常スラツグが付着しているの
で、鉄板29は該スラツグに溶着保持される。な

ールド4内の変更前の溶鋼に対する変更後の溶鋼
の撹拌距離が短縮されるため、鋼種変更に伴う溶
鋼転換時における異種溶鋼相互の混合部分の長さ
が減少される。なお、モールド4内の鉄板29は
溶鋼転換過程における異種溶鋼混合部分に溶融混
入される。
