Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart disease resistance to honey bees and to obtain honey bee products, such as royal jelly increased with vitamins and honey, by applying feed added and compounded with useful vitamins to the honey bees. CONSTITUTION: The useful vitamins, such as vitamins A, C, D and E, are added to the feed of the honey bees and this feed is applied to the honey bees. The amts. of the vitamins to be added are adequately about 2 to 4wt.% in the case of the vitamins C and 50 to 100ppm in the case of the other vitamins. As a result, the royal jelly increased in, for example, the useful vitamins, such as vitamins A, C, D and E, which are usually hardly contained, is obtd. The resistance to many diseases may be imparted to the honey bees in a winter or cold season when a chalk disease, etc., occur at a higher ratio, by dosing the honey bees with the vitamininized feed during wintering.

(Prior Art) There are a wide variety of bee products. Among them, royal jelly, honey, bee roe, etc. have been used as food since ancient times, and these days they have become particularly valuable as health foods. Royal jelly is a secretion from the pharyngeal glands of young worker bees that is given to the larvae that will become female workers in the honey bee hive.It is high in protein and contains minerals and vitamins similar to honeybees. Honey, on the other hand, is produced by honeybees that collect sweet substances separated from the flower lines and store them in their hives, and contains invert sugar as the main component.
Contains other minerals and vitamins. Currently, bee larvae are used, which can be mass-produced, and they also contain protein, carbohydrates, lipids (high in vitamin D), and minerals.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, it would be of great significance if a bee product such as royal jelly containing useful vitamins other than the 8 vitamin groups could be obtained. Moreover, it is significant from the standpoint of safety that it is naturally included in the product, rather than being added to royal jelly etc. from the outside.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present inventors have conducted various studies to satisfy the demands for conventional bee products, and as a result, they have found that by adding certain vitamins into the cylinder and administering them orally, the beneficial effects of royal jelly can be improved. It can enhance vitamins and is also good for bee colonies! (Improvement of disease resistance, etc.)
Based on this, the present invention has been completed.

As is clear from this result, this method is effective in improving the nutritional value of royal jelly, as it detected vitamins that are not normally included in royal jelly or are only included in trace amounts. Seem. Furthermore, by increasing the set value of the concentration of this vitamin, it was possible to increase the vitamin content supplied to the royal jelly. On the other hand, the observation results during the experiment showed that the vitamin-administered group tended to become a stressed group compared to the control group. It turns out that it has the effect of increasing resistance to diseases.
