Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance safety as well as to enable a treatment fitting to be positively inserted toward an affected part by making the diameter of a common passage which is formed starting from an at-hand section to a branching position through an inserting section, identical to or larger than that of a treatment fitting insert-through passage. CONSTITUTION:An ultra-sonic wave oscillator 2 and an observing section 3 are connected with an at-hand section 1, and a common passage 6 which is connected with the insertion opening 12 of the at-hand section 1 is formed within an inserting section 4. The common passage 6 is divided at a branching section 7 into a treatment fitting insert-through passage 8 large in diameter and an observing passage 9 small in diameter, and an opening section 9A and an another opening section 8A are formed at the tip end of it and in proximity to an oscillator 5 respectively. The common passage 6 is made to be equal to or more than the passage 8 in diameter. When the inserting section 11 of an endoscope 10 is inserted into the passages 6 and 9 so as to let an ultra-sonic wave probe be inserted into an esophague, it can be inserted as far as a desired position without damaging the inner wall of the esophagus while the inside of the esophagus is being observed by the endoscope 10. The inserting section 11 of the endoscope 10 is pulled out, thereby letting treatment fittings 14 such as a forceps and the like be projected out of the opening section 8A into the common passage 6 and the treatment insert-through passage 8.

The conventional ultrasonic probe has a hand part 1 as shown in Fig. 4.
An ultrasonic oscillator 2 and an observation section 3 are connected to the insertion section 4, which is inserted into the body cavity from the hand section 1, and a curved tube section 4.
A vibrator 5 for oscillating ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic oscillator 2 was attached to the tip of the insertion section 4 via A. When performing transesophageal diagnosis using such an ultrasound probe, the insertion section 4 is inserted into the esophagus blindly.

With conventional ultrasound probes, when inserting the insertion section 4 into the esophagus blindly, if there are esophageal varices or the like, the patient's life or death may be affected, which poses a safety problem. Furthermore, it has not been possible to perform treatment on a patient by inserting a treatment tool such as forceps into the insertion portion of the ultrasound probe.

Therefore, this invention enables the insertion of objects into the esophagus while observing them, which was conventionally done blindly, increasing safety.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an ultrasonic probe that can reliably insert a treatment tool such as forceps toward an affected area from an appropriate position.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention forms a large diameter treatment instrument insertion passage in the insertion section that has an opening near the vibrator and branches from the middle, and also connects the common passage from the branching point of this passage. An observation passage is formed in the insertion part through which a small-diameter observation fiber that communicates linearly and has an opening at the tip of the insertion part is inserted, and a common passage is formed from the proximal part through the insertion part to the branching point. It is formed to have the same diameter or a larger diameter than the insertion passage.

In this invention, when inserting the insertion part of the ultrasound probe into the esophagus, the insertion part (observation fiber) of the endoscope is inserted into the common passage and the observation passage, and the opening at the tip of the insertion part of the ultrasound probe is inserted into the common passage and the observation passage. The tip of the endoscope's insertion section is protruded from the endoscope, and the ultrasound probe's insertion section is inserted while observing the inside of the esophagus, increasing safety. In addition, if you want to perform various treatments on the affected area, you can remove the observation fiber and
Insert a treatment instrument such as forceps into the common passage and the treatment instrument insertion passage. At this time, since the diameter of the observation passage is formed small at the branch point, the treatment instrument is guided into the treatment instrument insertion passage with a large diameter, and the tip of the treatment instrument protrudes from the opening near the vibrator. .

In FIGS. 1 and 2, an ultrasonic oscillator 2 is attached to the hand portion 1.
and observation section 3 are connected, and the proximal section 1 is connected to the insertion section 4.
A common passage 6 is formed which communicates with the insertion port 12 of the. The common passage 6 branches at the distal end side of the insertion section 4, and this branch point 7
It is divided into a large-diameter treatment instrument insertion passage 8 and a small-diameter observation passage 9, with an opening 9A at the tip of the insertion section 4 and an opening 8A near the vibrator 5 of the insertion section 4. The common passage 6 is formed to have at least the same diameter as the passage 8 or larger. The insertion portion of the endoscope 10 (
Insert the observation fiber (observation fiber) 11 from the insertion port 12. A light source 13 is connected to the endoscope 10, and light from the light source 13 is sent to a light guide window 14.
The image guide window 15 receives the light emitted and reflected from the endoscope 10 so that it can be observed through the eyepiece 10A of the endoscope 10. Note that the distal end side of the insertion portion 4 is formed into a curved tube portion 4A and a rigid distal end portion 4B. In this way, the endoscope 1
Insert the insertion part 11 of 0 into the passage 6.9 and insert the tip into the opening 9.
When inserting the ultrasound probe orally into the esophagus or the like while looking through A, the curved tube section 4A is bent while observing the inside of the esophagus using the endoscope 10 to achieve the desired result without damaging the inner wall of the esophagus. It can be safely inserted up to this point. Next, once the insertion section 4 of the ultrasound probe has been inserted to the desired location, the insertion section 11 of the endoscope 10 is pulled out and a treatment instrument 14 such as forceps is inserted into the common passage 6 and the treatment instrument insertion passage 8.
is made to protrude from the opening 8A (see FIG. 3). Since the treatment instrument 14 is too large to be inserted into the small-diameter observation passage 9, it is inserted into the large-diameter passage 8 from the branch point 7. Further, since the opening 8A is oriented in the ultrasound scanning direction, the treatment instrument 14 is placed at an appropriate position.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a large-diameter treatment instrument insertion passage having an opening near the vibrator and branching midway is formed in the insertion section, and a common passage is formed from the branching point of this passage. An observation passage is formed in the insertion part through which a small-diameter observation fiber that communicates linearly and has an opening at the tip of the insertion part is inserted, and a common passage is formed from the proximal part through the insertion part to the branching point. Since it is formed to have the same diameter or a larger diameter than the insertion passage, it is possible to observe the affected area etc. from the tip of the insertion part of the ultrasound probe with the observation fiber using the common passage and the observation passage, and the esophageal vein layer etc. Even if there is a problem, the insertion part of the ultrasound probe can be safely inserted into the esophagus. Further, by using the treatment instrument insertion passage, a treatment instrument such as forceps can be guided to an appropriate position without using a forceps stand or the like.

更に、各通路の径の違いにより、観察用と処置用とを正

Furthermore, because the diameters of the passages are different, the observation and treatment passages can be guided to the correct passages.
