Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a granular insect and termite-preventing agent capable of being applied without splashing so that operators can safely apply the agent without inhaling the agent and having excellent controlling effect against unpleasant injurious insects such as millipedes and termites by impregnating an insecticide into an inorganic porous carrier. CONSTITUTION:An insecticide such as chloropyrifos or phoxim is preliminarily dissolved in an organic solvent such as acetone and subsequently homogeneously impregnated into a mineral inorganic porous carrier such as silica gel or zeolite containing silica alumina as a main component and having a pH in the range of neutral to week acidic, followed by drying to provide a granular insect and termite-preventing agent. The agent exhibits an excellent effect against unpleasant injurious insects such as wood louses, grain borers and termites and safely applied by operators even at insufficiently ventilated environments such as the treatment of soil under a floor. Since the insecticide is adsorbed in the bores of the granules, the insecticidal effect of the agent gradually appears and is continued for a long period. The application of the agent can be also performed with a granule applying machine other than hand sowing, thereby permitting to greatly reduce the time of the application.

り、いずれも油剤や乳剤の形で使用されている。

本発明に使用される有1911)ン系防虫剤としては、
クロルピリホス、ホキシム、ピリダフェンチオン、テト
ラクロルビンホスなどがあげられる。また、トリアジン
系防虫剤としては、トリプロピルイソシアヌレート、カ
ーバメイト系としては、カルバミン酸誘導体、ノチオカ
ルバミン酸誘導体、尿素誘導体を主成分とするセビン、
プロポキサ−などがある。ピレスロイド系殺虫剤として
は、ペルメトリンがある。

めて安全性に作業することができる。また、薬剤は粒状
体のボアの内部に吸着しているため、効果が徐々に現わ
れ、長時間継続する。散布作業は手まきの他、散粒機を
使用することができるため、施工時間は従来法に比較し
、大幅に短縮できる。
