Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in composting sludge by composing the title device of a drier for heating sludge with steam and a fermenter for fermenting and composting the dried sludge. CONSTITUTION:Sludge 13 is steam-dried by the drier 11, and the dried sludge 15 is charged into the fermenter 12. The dried sludge 15 is aerobically fermented to decompose org. matter, and stabilized fertilzer 14 is produced. A part of the fertilizer produced in the fermenter 12 is returned to the inlet to the fermenter 12, and the return fertilizer 16 acts as seed bacteria. Since the water content of the sludge to be charged to the fermenter is decreased to a value optimum for fermentation, an additive need not be added, and the size of the fermenter can be reduced. In addition, the amt. of bacteria contained in the sludge is reduced, because the sludge is dried at high temp. Accordingly, the effect of the seed bacteria by the return fertilizer in the fermenter is improved, and the amt. of return fertilizer can be reduced.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Purpose of the Invention (Industrial Field of Application) The present invention relates to a sludge composting apparatus that ferments dehydrated sludge dried by evaporative heating in a fermentation tank and converts it into fertilizer.

Due to the high moisture content, organic matter cannot be decomposed efficiently in the fermenter. Therefore, in order to reduce the moisture content and improve air circulation, additives such as rice husks or sawdust are mixed with the dehydrated cake. fermentation is carried out. Therefore, the price of additives is added to the fertilizer manufacturing price, and when the finished fertilizer is applied to paddy fields, there are problems such as floating sawdust, and in some regions, the supply of additives is not always stable. Therefore, the use of additives is not preferred.

In addition, since the dehydrated cake contains various types of bacteria, fermentation in the fermenter will not necessarily take place efficiently if it is left as it is, so a portion of the fermented fertilizer is returned to the inlet of the fermenter as a starter to increase fermentation efficiency. It's increasing. Therefore, the more germs contained in the dehydrated sludge, the more fertilizer will be returned to the inlet of the fermenter, resulting in lower fermentation efficiency.

At the same time, by returning a portion of the fertilizer produced in the fermenter to the inlet of the fermenter, the returned fertilizer 16 acts as a seed culture.

Therefore, by lowering the water content of the sludge fed into the fermenter to the water content most suitable for fermentation, there is no need to add additives, making it possible to make the two fermenters smaller than before, and the production cost of fertilizer increases. can be reduced. Further, since the dryer heats and dries the sludge at a high temperature (100'C or higher), the amount of germs contained in the sludge is reduced. Therefore, the effect of the returned fertilizer on rice seedlings in the fermenter is improved, the amount of returned fertilizer can be reduced, and the fermentation efficiency can be improved.
