を操作者に問合わせていた。 〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕 上述した磁気ディスク装置の試験方式では、操作者が指
定した装置番号に対応するディスク装置の試験情報にし
たがって問合わせが操作者に発せられ、当該ディスクが
書込動作試験を実行していないディスクであれば、操作
者は書込動作試験を実行することになるので、操作者が
誤って書込み禁止のディスク装置を指定し、かつ、試験
情報にしたがった問合わせに誤って応答した場合、当該
ディスク上の書込み禁止のコーザ領域の情報を破壊して
しまうという欠点がある。 〔課題を解決するための手段〕 本発明の磁気ディスク装置の試験方式は、磁気ディスク
装置が当該ディスクの書込動作試験実行の可否を設定す
るスイッチを備え、該スイッチの設定情報を読取る読取
手段と、該設定情報が試験実行可か否かをチェックする
チェック手段と、 該チェックの結果、実行可であれば当該磁気ディスク装
置のユーザ領域へ書込試験を行なう実行手段と、 前記チェック手段のチェックの結果、実行不可であれば
その旨とともに設定情報の変更の問合わせメツセージを
表示し、設定情報が変更された場合、その旨を前記読取
手段へ通知する問合わせ手段とを有している。 〔作用〕 磁気ディスク装置それぞれに書込動作試験実行の可否が
設定されており、試験実施の際、指定した磁気ディスク
装置についてその設定情報にしたがって試験実行の問合
わせを受けるので書込み禁止のディスク装置についての
書込みを防止できる。 〔実施例〕 次に、本発明の実施例について図面を参照して説明する
