プ3は通常第2図に示す如き断面形状を有してい
る。即ち、取付基部4と該取付基部4から所定角
度傾斜させて突出形成した中空卵形断面形状を有
するシール部5とからなる。このドアウエザース
トリツプ3の取付けは、該ドアウエザーストリツ
プ3の全周にわたつてその取付基部4の底面6に
所定間隔で設けられたクリツプ(図示省略)を上
記ドアフレーム2の外側端面に上記所定間隔で穿
設された取付穴に嵌着し、且つドアウエザースト
リツプ3のシール部5がドア内方に傾斜するよう
に密着固定されている。

ウエザーストリツプ3は、自動車ボデイ12の段
状端面13a,13bにそのシール部5を圧接
し、図示鎖線で示す形状から図示実線で示す形状
に撓み変形する。第5図は第1図のC−C線断面
を示し、ドア閉時に於ける上記ヒンジ部7とフロ
ントピラー部8との間のコーナー部9でのドアウ
エザーストリツプ3の変形状態を示す。図示の如
くドア内板10の外側端面11に挾持されながら
密着固定されたドアウエザーストリツプ3は、上
述のようなヒンジ部7での圧縮変形部位3aとフ
ロントピラー部8での撓み変形部位3bとの間の
変形移行部位3cであるので、自動車ボデイ12
の傾斜端面13′によつてシール部5が押圧され、
図示鎖線で示す形状から図示実線で示す形状に変
形する。従つて上記のようにしてこのドアウエザ
ーストリツプ3によりドア内板10や窓枠14の
ドアフレーム2と自動車ボデイ12との間をシー
ルしていた。

切音が発生し易く、且つドア割線から目視した場
合、自動車ボデイ12の傾斜端面13′の一部が
露出しているので車体色が目視されて美観を損な
つていた。

を車体外方に向かわせるように支持する停止突片
を中空卵形断面のシール部先端から車体内側に向
けて一体に膨出成形してあることを要旨とし、こ
の停止突片によりドアのヒンジ部とフロントピラ
ー部との間のコーナー部でのウエザーストリツプ
のねじれを防止し、かつ、ドアとボデイとの継ぎ
目部分のドア外板とウエザーストリツプとの間の
空隙を小さくできるようにしたものである。

み変形部位3bでの断面形状は従来と同様第2図
図示の如きものである。従つてドア閉時に於ける
上記ドアウエザーストリツプ3の変形状態も第3
図及び第4図に示すようにヒンジ部7で圧縮変形
し、フロントピラー部8で撓み変形する。本考案
ではドア1の上記ヒンジ部7とフロントピラー部
8との間のコーナー部9に取付けられたドアウエ
ザーストリツプ3の変形移行部位3cでの断面形
状が第6図図示の如きものである。即ち、取付基
部4から所定角度傾斜させて突出形成した中空状
のシール部5の内側下端面に停止突片17が一体
成形されている。従つて第1図のC−C線断面を
第7図に示すと、ドア内板10の外側端面11に
ドアウエザーストリツプ3の取付基部4が密着固
定され、ドア閉時には自動車ボデイ12の傾斜端
面13′によつて上記ドアウエザーストリツプ3
のシール部5が変形するが、該シール部5の内側
下端面に一体成形された停止突片17がドア内板
10の外側端面11に圧接されるため、該停止突
片17によりシール部5が支持され、ドアウエザ
ーストリツプ3は圧縮変形が押えられて強制的に
撓み変形が生じるように変形する。これによつて
ドア1のヒンジ部7、即ちドアウエザーストリツ
プ3の圧縮変形部位3aでの圧縮変形が、ドア1
のフロントピラー部8、即ちドアウエザーストリ
ツプ3の撓み変形部位3bに波及せず、ドア1の
コーナー部9、即ち上記ドアウエザーストリツプ
3の変形移行部位3cにてスムーズに上記圧縮変
形から撓み変形に変換される。

ので、上記ドアウエザーストリツプによるシール
性も良好となる。またドア外板とドアウエザース
トリツプとの間の空隙部も小さくなるため、風切
音が発生しにくく、更にドア割線から車体色が目
視されないので美観も損なわずに済む。
